nvc recieved our case on the 1st of february. my fiance was calling them twice a day after 14 days, they told him many different things like system down, we are working on it now, the next day there was a note on it etc... on the 22nd we finally got our case number when he was calling and little later the email.

it took 243 days to this step!!!

3 days later it was IN TRANSIT and since the 27th its READY. Im still waiting for my package 3 from the embassy.

I think in Germany i cant book my interview without the mail from them.

but got my medical on the 19th of feb. done already and filled the DS-160 out as soon as we got our case number.

im so ready so get this visa journey done

Visa being delivered by courier tomorrow - that’s only one week from interview to VOH. They quoted 2-3 weeks so I’m really happy!

No.  We are setting appointments to see venues, and we have a place to go cake tasting.  I have an officiant waiting for the date... and... yeah... when we find a venue and see what they have available, we'll go from there but we're not panicking or anything :-)

Day 253...wondering if part of the delay with the security checks may have to do with my fiancé’s travel history? He traveled to the Middle East in the past for work (and has the documentation). And if this is the case, we are wondering how long this could drag things out? I have read some scary stories on VJ about people waiting a year for this kind of stuff...but would it really make a difference if we abandoned the K1 and got married at this point? Either way, more waiting 🤔

Hang in there.  It will happen soon.  It was nothing for 260 days then all of the sudden things are moving.  Don't start over now.

I know people push on the idea that this stage is only for petitioner's security checks.. But when you research it actually does not say that.

So they are doing a name check, and I kind of see people who are here longer saying the same thing about the travel history..

Do we still have the graphs and stuff? LOL or the list of approval of the month?

I am doing it twice a week. Because the numbers are not too high, and most dates are not updated, it does not really make sense to go through 2000 cases.

It makes sense of course...just hard with the waiting and wondering 😬
