Okay, dumb question time!

I'm filling out the medical questionnaire.

"Have you ever been hospitalised (including psychiatric admission)?"

I was operated on in 2007 for a broken hand. Does that count? Wasn't over night or anything. 10am op, out by 9pm. 😳 It's all there on my paper medical records. 'fracture'... Full on snapped the 5th metacarpal in my right hand 😂 had to have a pin and stitches where it came out my hand. (sorry if you're eating)

Classic boxers break... who did you punch? ;-) (sorry I am a radiographer we see it all the time).

I find the hair tying up for chest xrays a bit strange, it can cause artefact, but not normally unless it's really thick, like dreadlocks. We don't enforce it anywhere I've worked.

Yes.  I sent the CENOMAR (CErtificate of NO MARriage) but not the actual annulment paperwork.  I assumed the government stating she is free to marry satisfied the requirement.

I'm disappointed in you right :bonk: now LOL.

Just got back from taking the Fiancee and my kids to Disneyland.

I come back thinking for sure Trina80 has been approved and not only is that not the case but YOU of all people got an RFE.

Well at least they are working your case.

You are almost there to that golden ticket.

I haven't read all your latest post yet. Did you send the RFE with delivery confirmation so you can verify it got back to CSC?

Steven

Hey all!

What a great way to start the day, reading all those happy interview, approval and POE stories here. 🌸 so happy for all of you!

I’m leaving for my interview in Frankfurt in 1 week 😟 ha! I’m so nervous. Hope all goes well.

Now, at the POE. How is that going to go down? We just hand them the medical CD and some docs from the interview? Are we being walked Into an office or is that a quick little “here are the docs officer, thanks ma’am welcome to the us”???

I received a letter from the USCIS stating that my case had been adjudicated and should get a notice of action in 45days. Please can anyone shed some light onto how long this may take? It is getting really depressive waiting for a reply since June 14th. I have also contacted the Ombudsman and my state's Senator for help. Please any info at this moment is helpful info. Thanks and congrats to all the recent good news.

#day258

We received the same letter like you did from the uscis. And yes, hoping to hear from them again after 45days. 261days active as of today!

@John & Rose hey man congratulations in advance. after that RFE is an approval. Been busy couple of days and can't back read everything. what was your RFE

and i am still here waiting LOL

They needed the annulment paperwork from the court.  We originally only sent a copy of the CENOMAR.  They also needed proof that we have met in the last two years.  It was a pretty easy RFE.  I sent the response overnight yesterday.

Good to see you are still alive.  Hang in there.  Your time is coming very soon.

Hello Vjs,

Yesterday i had my interview approved in Rio embassy. Do you guys know after the interview how long does it take to change the status on CEAC since my status is still as "Ready".

I am worried that something happened because i had my I-864 Affidavit of Support form , but during the pre-interview  when they check your documents the lady returned me this form saying it was not required  I had the W2 and the tax return and she said this documents were perfect, during the interview the CO said everything was fine and I would receive my visa in a couple of weeks.

I am starting to get worried now :(

They returned that because k1 uses i-134. But if they didn't tell you to bring that I don't think that will be a problem.

It was just yesterday so give it a week to worry :)

I am afraid they notice this mistake and delay my visa. I dont see at any moment the correct form nor even on the original petition my fiancé sent :dead:

They usually say if a paper is needed at the interview.. But think about it then when it comes to that..I mean even if they ask for it your fiancé will just fill that one instead and send it to you.. it won't be a denial because of that.

Its actually a little known fact but the I-134 is only RECOMMENDED at this stage (K-1)... its simply the BEST way to prove the ability to support, but W2, payslips etc without an affadavit CAN be used, in England at least - its literally on their website...

From https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/

K and Diversity visa applicants are not required to provide an I-864 Form.  However, they must show evidence that they are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. There is no set for that this evidence must take but use of the form I-134 is an efficient way to provide this information to the Consular Officer.
