To call NVC, is it the immigrant or non immigrant number?

Also to I HAVE TO set up an email address first? My fiancé (usc) filled out the form for us to receive texts and/or emails to him in the original petition.

Hi guys! I’ve finally received the RFE!!!!!!!! I’m so grateful it is nothing of another world...they are asking me for

1) Circumstances of Meeting

And a statement that the website where we met is not an international marriage broker (where do I find this)

2) Personal meeting (which we have) passports, tickets and some pictures.

Can someone please help with info on where to find this non marriage broker disclosure. We met on international Cupid.

thanks

These are good news! So happy for you guys:jest:

Got the RFE and they are asking for proof that we met in person. They want the things like the boarding passes and receipts.

We will try to knock it off later and send overnight.

Then hopefully we’ll get the approval and move on to the next stage. ☺️

To everyone who is still waiting for theirs, I wish you hear something soon! :)

Did you send passport stamps with your original filing? I cohabitate with my fiancé abroad and didn't save any boarding passes so I am a bit nervous. We have something like ten shared passport stamps, though, from trips we've taken together to three different countries, including the US. Hoping that'll be enough!

Good luck!

We’ll send a scanned copy of his passport stamps and his flight details from Expedia.

Hopefully it is enough. I’ll let you guys know if we get approved after that. :)

Good luck!

If you lived together and have proof like a rental agreement it should be ok. We didn't submit any passport stamps and we lived together. Approved and no RFE

My call was escalated to a tier 2 rep, however I just got a generic we will call you back message.  I may be screwed because I work Monday to Friday and can't take phone calls during working hours.  How am I supposed to get clarity on my RFE questions?

I know how you feel. my fathers name is 2 words that can easily look like Allahu ekber(this is inturkish I don't know how to write other ways) which is extremely funny for us cause he is not even religious person... and my mother name is also one of Mohammed's wives (or daughters...) again has no connection with our background but these are normal names for us...

so I was worried about it too, but we had  this in May too and discussed about it, next day he got the approval.

Yeah, It has very little to do with our culture as well.

It's mostly from a religious aspect.

My finace even has the "ullah" in his name LOOL.

You're the light of hope in all of this lol.. really..you are.

Awesomely positive.

Went to the field office today...nothing earth shattering but said that the background checks were being done and I should hear something soon. My fiancé was denied entry at the border last time he tried to visit as they were suspecting he wouldn’t return to Canada. They did not feel this would be an issue because he didn’t try to do anything illegal...but of course this has been in the back of my mind. Fingers crossed! B-)
