Anyone having this problem with CEAC when you try to check your case status and it just doesn't load? This is after interview approval.

I've had this for a while.

No data found

My other half tried it randomly and it said ready. Case created 2/15, letter emailed on the 22nd. Ready on the 24th (London).

Luckily, he grabbed a screenshot as it is not working for him now either.

Just been reading that the processing AOS is taking over 6 months!! Many are a few months from it being a year. And we though that this would be the longest wait in the process! :(

At least AOS you're with your husband/wife.

Very true.

But imagine just trying to adjust into your new home.

No SSN, no driving license, can’t travel. I’ve always been quite independent, so hearing this is a bit of a downer. My fiancé is very positive and supportive, but I’ll hate that he’ll be carrying the financial burden for such a lengthy period. It’ll also be difficult for me to adjust into a new country. I’ve drove since my teens, and haven’t ever been unemployed.

I guess that there is always voluntary work to keep me occupied.

I think we can still get our SSN and driver's licence, no?

Can apply for ssn after entering US, but after marriage, you will need to change the name. Not sure if this is part of the AOS forms, as I haven’t read them.

Also, I think you need some form of I’d for driving licence, which comes with AOS

Is there not a temporary work permit?

Oh ghad. I'm going to go crazy.

Bet get my arty things out and start selling my work again. Or see if I can get out with my camera.

I think you can get an International license in your country which lets you drive in the us for up to one year depending on the state.

Only as a visitor. I’ll be an immigrant. Different states have different laws, but overall my license can be used for 30 days upon entering.

I thought you can apply for a work permit and advance parole (for travel) at the same time as you file the AOS. Or do you mean that those are taking over 6 months to get?

Apparently there is some form you can complete, but according to woozupo (can’t remember his @). It can take just as long as the AOS

sone have been able to expedite their paperwork due to being offered a job, but majority are still waiting.

Could be different by state, but I think in Ohio you just need your international ID and maybe take a driving test to be issued an Ohio licence. If they need proof of legal status in the states I believe there's a form for that....maybe I-94?  I'll have to double-check the name of the form but I think you can get your SSN in a couple weeks time.

Yes, that’s what’s taking 6 months. Look at the AOS August forum.
