Day 250! Can’t submit anymore inquiries yet...no response from congresswoman and already filed a case with the ombudsman...looks like there isn’t much else to do right now except keep waiting :( :whistle:

  1. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

 

You are required to bring the following for each person having a medical examination:

  1. Original Passport or UK Driving Licence (photo card not paper licence)

               We do NOT accept copies of ID

  1. 4 X Identical Passport style photos - UK or US size

(we accept UK or US sized photographs)

  1. ACRO Police certificate (or a copy) dated within the last 12 months for anyone 16 years of age & over (if your police certificate is more than one page long please advise Knightsbridge Doctors ahead of your medical as you may need additional time with the Doctor. If you fail to tell us ahead of time you may be asked to come back to go over this at an additional fee).
  1. Vaccination records - Please provide a vaccination record for the panel to look over on the day to advise if any further vaccines are needed.

  1. A Letter/Email from the embassy/NVC to confirm your case number and visa category
  1.  Summary of medical history from GP (NOT full medical records) and reports covering any medical conditions, disabilities, and prior serious illnesses you have been treated for or anything ongoing. This is a new requirement and may not yet be added to the checklist online or the US EMBASSY LONDON website.

We will keep your medical on hold if you do not have it with you on the day of the appointment.

Ask your GP for a Patient Summary/Care Summary.

  1. If you wear glasses or contact lenses please bring them along to the appointment
  1. If you have any significant/ongoing/previous medical conditions please ensure that you bring a report from your GP/Specialist/Consultant regarding this; including, medication, prognosis, management etc.

* If your medical notes are very extensive (more than 10 pages) please inform Knightsbridge Doctors before you come for your medical. This required extra time with the doctor to go through your notes. If you do not inform us of this, you will be charged for an appointment slot for the doctor to read these notes.

  1. VALIDITY OF MEDICALS:

 

PLEASE NOTE: ALL MEDICALS ARE VALID FOR SIX MONTHS ONLY UNLESS ADVISED OTHERWISE BY KNIGHTSBRIDGE DOCTORS - you must obtain a visa and travel to the United States within this period or you will need to undergo a complete new medical at an additional expense.

 

  1. PAYMENT AND PRICES:

Ø  Payment for the medical must be paid in full on the day of the appointment by either cash or card.

Ø  We do not accept cheque or American Express.

Ø  If you wish to change or cancel the appointment please allow 3 working days’ notice to avoid the cancellation fee of £95 (full price list included in the medical pack online).

Ø We do not take payment over phone.

 

  1. WHAT TO EXPECT:

 

Ø  Please be aware that each applicant aged 15 years and older who is attending their medical will be required to produce a compulsory urine sample when at the clinic.

Ø  Further information on what to expect during your visit to Knightsbridge doctors can be found here; http://www.visamedicals.info/us-examination.asp.

Ø  Your appointment includes:  some more paperwork, a urine sample, a chest Xray, blood test and to see both the doctor and the nurse at your appointment.

Ø  If you are a single adult or applicant, you will need to allow 90 minutes for your appointment. Families and couples need to allow more time depending on how many applicants there are. Please call us if you would like our estimate. Please be aware that this is subject to change, and we ask that you allow flexibility, especially in case of emergency.

Ø  If you are concerned about seeing a Male/Female doctor, please ask us when booking your appointment so that we can book you in with your preferred doctor.

Turns out they put a Y in gmail.com somewhere 😂😂😂

 

I'm all set. Got my records finally, vaccination history (no mention of any hepatitis jabs, but it does say I had chicken pox, the polio, dip and tet jabs 4 times).

I have the NVC letter and questionnaire being printed ready. Just need to plan my route and hope that the weather doesn't affect my journey up there.

I don't think you will even need hep at your age. No worries.

 

Now I just need to cross my fingers for any kind of hurricane, flood and such to not happen on your day... I am also curious how this will go....I smell a story coming in :D

Hepatitis isn't required, and its surprisingly easy to find :-)

We have snow inbound. Hoping that's gone by then. 😬 I will have a raft ready just in case of any flooding. I'll add this to my book 😂😂

Woot. I have no idea where I'm going so I'm going to call the map up and plan accordingly. 

Will get a bottle of water for the journey too ready to pee on demand.😬
