So exciting to see lots of pp are getting their visa approved. And guys, can I ask a question. Is it silly to make any interview appointment and medical exam now that I haven't receive the packet 3 ? It was shown on NVC website that it was sent on the 5th Feb to my country but until this day I haven't receive it. A thing to consider is our country just has a really big holiday in which everywhere was close for 10 days.

Last time I check the appointment schedule, they only have a few slot left for March and nothing for April so I am really worry that if I don't make the appointment now. I will lose the slot and wont be able to have the interview until who knows when.

Any words of wisdom ?

I know in your neighbor Cambodia we have to wait. The place for medical will not accept you without the interview paper from the Embassy.

It may be different in Vietnam. You can just call or email the embassy at this point, I suggest you do that.

I have filled the DS160 and pay the fee. That is why I could see the interview slot, I haven't book it tho. The fee for the ds160 once paid will be valid for 12 months so pay now or later doesn't make any different in my opinion. Also, I was short of time since I was only in Hanoi for like 1 day after everything went back to work so I had to do it. If you live in the big city then I don't think you need to worry. You can wait for the packet to arrive before doing anything else.

I did, they said since the maximum time for the packet to arrive is 30 days, it is still "normal" because it is not 30 days yet. I can send the slowest mail possible and it still can reach the Embassy in a week. I don't know what they are doing now.

Hey guys,

question to who did the I-134 already,

Did you put the A-number?

Because my co-sponsor will be sending me the papers on March, but I don't know if I 'll have my noa2 till then (most likely won't) we can't fill it yet. Do you think would this be a problem? or do you think we can just handwrite it when we get the number?

How did you guys do it?

Oh Wow, I thought you guys had your NOA2  already. I guess I can't complain about 215 then. I think once I hit 200 I was like it will happen when it happens and no reason to stress over it. :D

There are lots of NOA2s coming in mail without an update on case tracker.

How did you guys do it?

We didn't put the A number on the I-134 or the DS-160 because we didn't recognize that one had been assigned until I received a hard copy of our NOA2 in the mail with Packet 4.  That copy has the notations and the stamp from the adjudicator and it's clear on that copy that the "A" number is Alien number.

I did see a number with an A in front of it on the NOA2 and also in the Packet 3 email but it didn't register because I thought for some reason the Alien number came with the green card. I have no idea why I thought so, it seems kind of stupid now. :(

I could hand-write it into our I-134 but nothing I can do about the DS-160 except mention it at the interview. I can't see why it would be a problem but who knows.

I don't think it is that important either for this part of the process. I'm sure many people miss it too...
