Okay... Quick update about my "no data returned" NVC number thing. 

 

So, the woman Mr H spoke to yesterday was the most polite person he has encountered on this journey so far. Apparently, my paperwork is on its way here, to London. It was mailed on the 20th. The letter emailed to him with the LDN number was dated the 22nd.

 

Colour me confused so I don't know what to enter on my timeline nor any spreadsheets. 😳

 

Website is still showing no data. Some timestamps would be nice. I feel like I'm running through a corn maze... Drunk. Don't know what's going on or where I'm going, but I'll find the way out... Somehow. 

Drunk enough, just run/jump over the walls, right? 😂

That would annoy the hell out of me. I want to know when the case is received by my embassy. For me it meant I can stop annoying NVC and start annoying the embassy. 

 

Actually I started emailing my embassy in July already, but still!

We’re actually in Gourmet Burger Kitchen now to celebrate and see a show later tonight in the West End.

 

Its sad that he is leaving tomorrow but I follow him in 18 days so I can handle it this time I think! 

 

To warn you all UK peeps, they are now quoting 2-3 weeks for return of passport/visa - rather than 7-10 days...

 

I HOPE mine makes it - I fly on 13th hahahaha

 

but NO STRESS today - my thoughts are still with all those still waiting

i want to say tequilla and some kind of Mexican food... like tacos? Enchilada?

My Interview for the New US Embassy in London was yesterday. 22nd February 2018

 

On walking around the building I was greeted by two hubs of armed security. Then my final pit stop was the south pavilion entrance where I went through air port style scanner and had a chat with the guards. They were all very pleasant people. You have to show you’re passport and confirmation letter for your appointment. 

 

I then walked up to the building, staring up as I usually do in London to admire the architecture of the new building. It’s huge!!

 

Passing the receptionist in the lobby who advised me to take the lift to floor 3 then turn left twice. On exiting the lift there was a huge waiting room of people and a ping sound with people moving from seats to the booths. Fortunately the seating area I was directed to was left twice. 

 

It was a small small seating area with fold down seats and several screens. The booths were big glass panels with people behind them. 

 

The first time my number was called was for documentation where the guy put a pack of information together. I also gave fingerprints. I only waited 10 minutes to be called up. 

 

He asked for: 

confirmation of my name and date of birth then proceeded to ask for 

1. Passport

2. Birth Certificate 

3. Deed Poll 

We then laughed about double barreled names as I took on my grandmas surname when she passed away and he wanted to know if I will change my name again when married. 

 

The pack was put together and he asked me to take a seat and wait to be called for my interview. 

 

Waiting patiently for my interview everyone that had theirs walked past with a smile on their faces bar two. 

 

I waited a good 20 minutes. When I was called up I realised I was the last person in the room. I joked with the guy and said I’m glad you didn’t forget me. I proceeded to complement him on his vibrant shirt. He was very pleasant. 

 

He asked me:

1. How did you meet your fiance

2. Is he still in England

3. How many times have you visited

4. Where is he now 

5. When do you plan on marrying. 

 

He typed lots lots of information down. Then proceeded to tell me the visa has been granted with a smile. I thanked him and he said allow 7-10 days to e contacted by the courier I chose for delivery. 

 

 

Obviously on exiting the building I called my fiancé with the news.
