So, My case got approved on Jan 16th, 2018. Then at Jan 31st, we got the case number along with the mail telling us that the case got requested back by USCIS. Now, its Feb 23rd, still playing back and forth game. NVC told me to ask USCIS for more information, USCIS told me that they dunno why the case got sent back and I should speak to NVC. Anyone in the same situation?

With my security checks “still pending” I am debating whether to pursue contacting the ombudsman? Any thoughts @John & Rose? They have been pending since my visit to the field office on 1/23 and I received the letter from 2/13 from my online inquiry saying the same thing. No response or updates from my congresswoman

Day 252. Waiting on a call back from Tier II. Tier I tried to tell me that I have to wait 30 days from the last contact (letter) I received (2/12) that told me my case was being adjudicated.

Keep us posted, hope you get good news!

I just got off the phone with Tier II. They told me my case is currently being adjudicated and they have no other information. No timeline for receiving any information or hearing anything. I've been told to try calling back in 30 days.

We actually just got the visa!  He had lost his tracking receipt, but it made it in less than 24 hours :)  Travel booked as well, he'll be getting in late on Thursday!  It sucks you've had bad experiences on Air NZ - mine have all been great.  The most I ever paid was $2600 USD to fly right before Christmas...yikes.

We're both big cyclists so the bike was non-negotiable, haha - as soon as the snow and ice melts here we'll be back at it!  I told him to just put a strap on the box and drag it through the airport...honestly not sure what he's gonna do, but I'm sure he'll manage.  All he has to do is make it through Customs, re-check it, and he'll be on his way.  Already worried about how I'm gonna get a wedding dress over next year - good thing I don't like tulle!

I picked mine up at the post office. Visa in hand and 15 days to go. So has he already left NZ? Or next Thursday? I am travelling with my wedding dress to the states, it's a huge dress with a a lot of crinoline under it. I purchased the wedding transport box from a company in Illinois called foster stevens, inc it's a special acid free box with acid free tissue paper, no doubt I will have to steam iron but I fell inlove with it and had to have it, so it's coming with my carry on.

I am so excited for us!
