What do they mean by lack of proof that the petitioner and beneficiary are legally able to marry? Are they referring to a missing statement of intent or?

would say either letters of intent from both parties and/or divorce decree from judge.  depending on circumstance.

Think it’s the same letter everyone else has gotten that it’s still being processed or adjudicated?

Howdy peeps, so I just wanted to confirm with y'all that I didn't just jump the gun a bit. Our case status said "Ready" so I went ahead and scheduled my interview and medical prior to receiving Packet 3/4. Will this cause any issues? Cheers as always folks.

Hi Ludovic. You don't need to worry about that at all. I'm in the UK and did exactly the same a few weeks ago. I then stressed out for a few days after reading something that suggested I needed it. It eventually arrived at home at the time I was out I was doing my medical but it wasn't needed at all for anything! It's just a letter in the post with your LND and WAC numbers on and a leaflet about domestic abuse for immigrants.

All they wanted to see at the medical was the email that confirms the interview booking. For the interview, they wanted to see the interview booking email and the printout of the confirmation page from the DS-160. I did have a screenshot of the Ready status and anything else I could think of like that as well just in case but it was all unnecessary.

If you want to make yourself feel better though, you can go on the London Embassy website on the fiancé visa section and there is an option to complete the 'Notice of Readiness' form on the website. I think this is from outdated procedures and no longer needed. Anyway, I filled it in and as soon as you submit it, it tells you to go and book your interview so at least you have 'permission' from them to have done it and not waited for the letter. Medical and interview both a breeze by the way - both in and out in around an hour. Good luck.

There is the online NVC website to check your status.

Also we have the VJ spreadsheet which is in NAES signature for tracking NVC.

It's all in here as well. The place to enter in spreadsheet and the place to check case status to see if "received" by your embassy.
