Hey everyone! I need some help with my RFE if possible, as it just arrived.  It for asked for the following:

1. Court dispositions for a citation I got 7 years ago.  I have these documents available so that one is easy.

2. Intent to marry from the beneficiary.  Copies of my documents are at my sisters at the moment but I swear that I sent these with the original application.  If she is abroad how can I provide this evidence?? I am visiting here in a few weeks but I would love to get my evidence mailed in before I leave for my vacation.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My RFE was a letter of intent to marry, even though we had already sent one.

I can tell you this...

We sent it back, with a scanned signature, with the exact text below, nothing more, nothing less.... we got an approval.

*******

Dear Immigration Officer,

In addition to the statement submitted with the original I-129F form, I am writing this letter as supplemental evidence of my intent to marry [INSERT NAME] within 90 days of my admission to the United States.

To be clear, I confirm that I do very much plan to marry him within the alotted 90 days.

Sincerely,

[INSERT NAME]

Since I made multiple copies of everything, if I can find the copy of the original document she signed will they accept that?  Or do we need to date it more recently and have her re-sign?  I believe her cousin has a copy machine so she could probably e-mail that to me.

I would update the date, just in case they didn't like the wording of the original one.

Our original, for example, didn't specifically mention the 90 days, and we thought it COULD have caused the RFE, so we worded this specifically to the wording of the RFE so that there could be NO issues at all.

Ok perfect.  My biggest concern was it having to be an original signature and they wouldn't accept a scanned one as this would add like another 6 weeks before I can send anything

I thought I had read that, but the Lawyer said we needed to wait.  I am going to ask for clarification and possibly a refund of my remaining retainer.  Just awful.  Thank you very much.

Lawyer is telling you wrong. for sure call NVC! I called Wed. Morning and it hadn't been received, called back Wed. night and it was received. Then called Fri. night and they gave me our new case number. So yes keep calling NVC.

Hi guys! I’ve finally received the RFE!!!!!!!! I’m so grateful it is nothing of another world...they are asking me for

1) Circumstances of Meeting

And a statement that the website where we met is not an international marriage broker (where do I find this)

2) Personal meeting (which we have) passports, tickets and some pictures.

Can someone please help with info on where to find this non marriage broker disclosure. We met on international Cupid.

thanks

We also met on international cupid.

I'm starting to feel they do more harm than good

If you see january thread! And all over what I read most are incompatible. I believe as k1 is one of the easy ones, they're underestimating it..
