You can also check on the state parks around your area. You can rent/reserve some of it for cheap. I think we're gonna do that route since Colorado has some pretty spectacular places. $100-$150 to reserve a spot. :)  Also planning to have a picnic, make some smoked salmon and avocado with cream cheese sandwiches and chips before heading to some late lunch with the family at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant.

Might have to spend a little bit on a wedding photographer as we like to have really nice photos and have it printed and framed.

We originally wanted to invite as many as we can but since visa, flights, and hotels are expensive then we just decided to have a small and intimate wedding with family and close friends. :)

Ummm can I come to YOUR wedding?? LOL That sounds amazing! And Colorado is GORGEOUS. I have friends there and am always so envious of their views while just taking walks around their neighborhood. You will definitely have some great shots!

I agree - I told my fiancé the only thing I really want to spend a good amount of money on is the photographer. I think pictures are important, as that's what you'll have left to remember that day with for years to come. I think it's worth it.

Håll ut, y'all.

Anyone from Jamaica who knows how the embassy I'm confused about p3 and p4

I can help you with Jamaica. A few tips -- the embassy has delays in getting your packet 3 which will inform you that they "officially" have your application which will allow you to schedule your medical at St. Andrew's Hospital and interview at the consulate.

I recommend scheduling your medical if you haven't already because they are pretty backed up in Kingston (when they ask you what date your interview is just give a round about date that your interview is going to happen and this will get you soonest available appointment) Call 876-926-7401 -option 3 to schedule

I have also attached form that needs to be filled out by beneficiary and brought to medical

Packet 3 - I have attached the generic form the embassy will send you.

Documents you need include for financial support paperwork in addition to evidence of ongoing relationship, and Affadavit of intent to mary

Get police record if you have not --can take up to a week.

You will also need a statement of no impediment to marriage (a notarized document from the ministry of justice saying nothing is holding you back from marriage like a non-finalized divorce) --this can take up to several weeks  to obtain so I recommend  filing for this certificate ASAP

Once the NVC has your application as ready on the CEAC tracker you can schedule your interview after you complete the DS-160 non-immigrant paperwork.

Once you see ready in the CEAC tracker you can also contact the embassy via email with an inquiry regarding status of your application at KingstonIV@state.gov. Reference your case NVC case number in email and write a succint email:

Dear Sir/Madam:  The online status of the above referenced case shows it is at the consulate and ready for interview scheduling.  Beneficiary has not yet received any notifications.  We kindly request the instructions for next steps so he can prepare for and schedule his interview.

Hope this helps.

i am currently waiting for the embassy to send me an email i.e packet 3 and the link to schedule the interview. I've emailed them and they replied that i should wait for them to process and send the next intructions. Does any one know how much time it takes,? im tired of waiting and changing dates that ive planned.

I replied to your other post in another thread about this same exact thing, but perhaps you missed my response. :)

It depends on the embassy. Can typically take a couple of weeks, give or take. Most people would suggest waiting to set any plans in stone throughout this process, since it's so unpredictable. If your case has been forwarded from the NVC to the embassy, though, you can consider yourself at the home stretch, though, so hang in there!

I'm not sure anyone else on other threads will give you much more detail than that, as nobody is able to give you a definitive date or expectation. As for changing dates - it's typically recommended that you don't schedule anything concrete throughout this process, as it is very unpredictable and ever changing. Nothing is set in stone until your visa is finally approved. But you aren't in rare company - everyone is waiting and wishes they weren't.

In the meantime, although you are still awaiting Packet 3, if you've been given the case number from NVC, you can go ahead and start looking into your medical requirements and scheduling those.

Håll ut, y'all.

In Cambodia they required paper with interview date which comes after Packet3 is received by beneficiary and fee payment completed, I was not allowed to schedule medical in advance. I tried and they said no.

Packet3 is country specific so while there are similarities it’s best to confirm directly with your embassy/consulate.

Yeah yeah! :D Colorado is amazing and i think an outdoor wedding is great. He proposed to me while we went on a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. I wanted the wedding to be there as well but it's an hour and half drive so i think we'll just go for somewhere close by.

It's really nice to have great photos so you can always relieve the great memories you have with friends and family. :)

If you happen to be in Colorado sometime in the near future, just let me know. ;)

June 19 looks scary too.  What is going on that certain dates are more challenged than others?

Maybe one of the remainers should be given the keys for the scans to run it daily? With NAES as support?

Those scans would help people who are waiting feel less stressed IMO. My schedule is all over recently so apologies I cannot commit to it.
