Literally from the mouth of an embassy staff member - I called to clarify...

"It is confusing and different places refer to it differently, but in most embassies its an immigrant visa and you should answer yes"  HOWEVER he also said it wont make a big difference if you answer no since they can see its a K1 and they know it is an issue which confuses people - USCIS (not a part of the Dept of State) refer to it as non-immigrant, whereas DOS refer to it as immigrant, which is where the disconnect usually happens.

So there you have it, from an embassy staff member themselves :-)

No big deal either way

Thanks for that one. You guys made me sweat nervously a bit earlier because I answered "No" lol

I checked on it cos it started worrying me too when it came up.   I answered Yes but I think after so long, any potential hiccup becomes a big deal that we want to make sure we're not ruining things!  LoL

I think they're terrible at handling files and if it really doesn't take that long for a petition to be looked at then yours could have slipped out of the pile or something...Very unfortunate and unfair...

I have a feeling that when @Trinab80 gets approved you will follow soon so hopefully you both get approvals soon!

I honestly hope they get theirs first.  This wait is so much more stressful than either of us will admit here.

We are still considering the CR-1.  Heck, if we refiled the K-1 today we would probably be approved quicker

If we start over it will be a CR-1.  I am waiting on the Congressional inquiry response that was sent in yesterday.  If we are still waiting to be assigned and July, August and November petitions keep getting approved it will be apparent we are in a black hole somewhere.

Hi guys. I've set up an appointment for the interview in the US Travel website and there's like a huge sign up on top where it says I need to put in the DS-160 ID. I was done setting up the interview appointment when I noticed that there is no part there where it asked me to put my DS-160 ID. 

 

It has Case ID which I assume is the MNL number. Now I'm worried that I've set it up wrong. Heeeelp!

I hope you hear something soon! If we pulled out petition it would be another 12-14 months and that just seems ridiculous

My understanding is the MNL or Case # is what you use for the rest of the journey.
