Is there a site/app to see if your application has got to the NVC?

Just curiousity, really. NOA2 was dated a week ago. Also trying to kick his derriere into gathering all the stuff we need for the next step. He's chosen now to tinker with his car. 😑😂

Not like he's had 7 months 😂 ohhhh lawd

No. Just calling them. Once you have the case number from NVC you can use CEAC to track your case all the way to final approval, but until you get a case number from NVC, you can't do anything.

I just got my email from USCIS on the online inquiry.  Yep...my case is "pending" assignment... They say I have to wait at least 45 days from Feb 7 before I make another inquiry.  Yes, I am not supposed to make another inquiry prior to March 24, 2018 according to the email.  They say I have to give them more time to work on the files before I ask again...B$

Forgive me if you have already been over this but the June thread is a total of about 1000 pages now. Was there anything unusual about your case? Did you DIY or use a service? Was it just a basic application or was it "front loaded"? It's likely none of this has anything to do with the long processing time but I was just kind of curious as to whether one type of application has more success speedwise compared to others. I fear your application is stuck under someone's mouse pad or something stupid like that. Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer.

This is an insult. 😒

I'd be pooping into a paper bag, setting it on fire, and leaving it on their doorstep by now. ☹️

I got immediate response from the online form.  I would go that route first.  When they respond you will have an email of their immigration liaison.  That seemed to be the quickest way to get a response as it goes directly to the immigration rep for your Congressman.

Just let them know when you filed and that USCIS has now passed that date on their official timeline.  You can write a lot in that space.  I know I did the first time.  Just ask them to do an inquiry on the status of your case.  They know what to do.

Thanks,  his congresswoman only does things via letter... so we're having to print it so he can sign and send. It includes the consent form but cannot be emailed :(

We called tier 2 today and they said just pending background checks that can take up to 8 months. We're at 8 months tomorrow, I've had enough of the B$

True. I am in complete admiration to how positive and helpful you have been to everyone here and watched people after you get approved. You have surpassed what ever patience is. I really hope you get an approval soon. @johnandrose

As far as we know we are a normal case.  She has no job but worked in Korea when she was in her 20s and in Ireland 10 years ago.  Two children both at the top of their classes in private school.  We have all the police certificates and there were no findings.  I work as an engineering consultant for a state agency with Federal Grant money so I had state and federal background checks in order to get the badge for access to confidential information.  I have no record.  There is nothing that we can see that is a red flag.  I have been working in this industry for 39 years and I have excellent credit.  It is a mystery.  Rose is annulled (no divorce in the Philippines) and we have a lot of relationship proof.  I visited her 5 times in 2017 alone.

We filed with Rapid Visa and they actually asked for more information from me twice before they allowed the petition to be sent in.

There are still a number of June 6 filers waiting in the same boat as us.  According to the scans (not accurate but an indication) there are still 65 June 6 filers listed as "received".

@Trinab80 is a May 25 filer on Day 264.  No RFEs.  No word at all.  It seems like a few of us get left behind every month.  We must just be lucky.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Yes.  I really wish we had a clue what is really happening.  Think about it.  8 months for a background check?  They cant check the beneficiary beyond name and INTERPOL.  The petitioner can legally buy semi automatic guns and that Federal check takes less than a minute.  A thorough background check using our names addresses and SSN should be very quick.  Let's give them the benefit of the doubt...lets say 5 minutes...  What is going on the rest of the 8 months?  The files sit in a box.  The Q&A here with the former adjudicator mentioned that each petition actually only gets looked at for 10 to 15 minutes.

That's just not cool. It would be interesting to know exactly how the system works as far as case tracking on there end. You would think it wouldn't be possible to just lose a stack of cases or something. I still have a long way to go I'm an October 29th or 30th or something like that filer but I would hate it if they misplaced my file for a few months.

That is odd.  Did you try another online inquiry?

I originally did the online inquiry on Jan 20, I believe.  On the 24th it was assigned.  Then it was assigned again on Feb 7, Feb 12 and again today Feb 13...  I have no idea what is going on.  I also asked for another Congressional inquiry yesterday.  No word on any of them yet.

Ok, maybe I will try and see if it will let me submit another inquiry. Fingers crossed for all of us who are still waiting!! 🤞🏻

Its funny since today I received from the London embassy.....

The 'reviewed' copy of the original I-129F application (which my fiance obviously sent in, and it has the adjudicators notes on it)... and also I was informed that any findings from USCIS background checks on the petitioner, regarding their criminal record or any previous I-129F applications were included (there were none)...

THEN there is a disclaimer that the background checks which were run in the USCIS are on the petitioner, and are by no means complete, since they do not have access to all databases, so any responsibility is not with them if it turns out later that he/she actually IS a criminal.

The reviewed petition has little more than a few circles around question numbers, and a note here and there on questions left blank or marked N/A (for example, "citizen by birth" has been written next to a question regarding the petitioners own status)...

So when they say background checks can take up to 8 months....... I'm both surprised and shocked based in this new 'information' I received today.

Unbelievable!! They need more time to find out where they misplaced your file? I seriously hope that’s not the case, but this BS is just too much! I tried to submit another online inquiry and it said it was too soon as I had already submitted one on 1/29....but of course have heard nothing  Someone please get me off this ride, I’ve had enough! Lol!

8 months for a background check is just a bit far fetched.  Like I said, I can buy a gun without it taking more than a minute.

I think we are all now realizing that the petition sits in a box until the adjudicator has a spare 10 to 20 minutes to look it over.  The 8 months is spend waiting for that 10 minute review.

Its more than a bit far fetched... considering this new information that in fact, they only run a check on the USC AND its not a full check..... Thats downright ridiculous.

yet nothing surprises us!  This is a bizarre Twilight Zone episode and we are just the lambs being led to slaughter.  I have to hope that there is some guy smoking a cigarette and watching from the background with a smirk on his face.  The puppet master so to speak.
