I'm stunned to say the least... WE GOT OUR APPROVAL TODAY!!!

No letter, nothing... just a message saying to check the USCIS website for a change in status :)

So... NOA 1 on June 28th

RFE received on January 18th by us

RFE returned and acknowledged on January 31st

NOA 2 received via notification on February 12th

I'm so excited!!!

My sincere wish is for @John & Rose to get their approval NOW!

And special thanks to @Naes @vocaledge, and everyone who makes this forum a success!

Congratulations! :)

Make sure you do get NOA2 though - you'll need it for AoS.

Wha! I got "packet 4" by email just now! (Packet 4 from AMS consulate are the instructions to schedule interview and medical).

Called the doctor's office right away. First available spot for Medical is Feb 26th, so I took it!

Jeez this is getting more real with each step forward.....

Scary and exciting all at the same time! :D

This echos the article I read, that shows how this administration is making it difficult even for legal immigration: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/20/us/trump-immigration-slowdown.html

This is filling out forms 101. The Times is a rag. The article is trying to politically link up illegals and legals. Do not fall for it.

I haven't check in on this thread in a while (although Paul checks more frequently than I do lately and updates me directly :P), so it's taking me a while to catch up. I am so happy to see all of the approvals happening lately, especially for ones who have been waiting such a long time. Also getting excited to see all of the POE talk for some people, and that some are already planning the return trip home to their loved ones!! So much happiness!! I love it!

Paul's medical is on Thursday, so we are focused on that right now. I know he will be relieved once that is behind him. AND this time next week, I'll be halfway to Sweden!!!!!! Laying over in Germany right about this time next week, actually. I'm getting so excited and anxious. Mostly, I'm just ready to get my hands on him. It's been almost a whole year apart, and we've felt every bit of it. We'll take the train to Stockholm next Wednesday after I get to Gothenburg, and his interview is next Thursday morning!! It's so surreal that this is all about to happen. It's nerve-racking, but in the most wonderful way. Meanwhile, in the middle of trying to pack for a two and a half week trip overseas, my house is also turned completely upside down because they decided to sheetrock my ceiling and paint the living THIS WEEK, and everything had to be taken out and crammed into other rooms. I'm trying to keep it together, but I haven't figured out if this increases my anxiety, or actually makes it more tolerable because I have something else to focus on instead of thinking about that flight on Monday.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone still chugging along with us in this process!! So many are in that home stretch - we just have to hold on a while longer, you guys. What a journey!! XOXO

Håll ut, y'all.

perhaps, but her lawyer stated he never had this occur before, so seems like a stall tactic; to slow it down, just cause.

OMG, I just realized I put in his incorrect mailing address on the I-129, although it was approved.

Now my fiance's interview is on March 4th, how do I get the mailing address corrected??

Write the correct address on ds-160. And mail the embassy with the NVC case number.

@Paul & Mallory I can completely relate to the anxiety. I’m meeting up with a friend when I’m  in Cambodia, he’s Australian so I’m really worried about how much he’ll force me to drink.

I thought his lovely girlfriend from the Philippines would help me out until she started drinking with him last November when I visited.

I can feel the nerves building now. Never get on the piss with an Aussie. Deep breath...be calm George. It’s going to be OK.

Medical done. I have my vaccine records, cd which contains my xray, and the sealed envelope that i need to take to the embassy for the interview. :)

My left arm still feels heavy from the tetanus vaccine but it's all good. They gave me 3 shots (tetanus, measles/rubella, and chickenpox vaccine).

Interview is on March 12. Gathering all the documents needed for it. :) *Crossing fingers and toes* that everything will be alright.
