I did not get anything and I have read that in France they do not send packet 3 anymore, but to do the ds-160, then create an account on the US visa website, pay the fees and book the interview date.

All we got is an email from NVC stating that our case left to the embassy in Paris and then on the nvc case tracker it was already to "READY"..

Does the piece of paper you mentioning is called ds-2001"notification of applicant readiness" ?

I will call NVC monday and then the embassy !

Seems like our processes are different then. I wasn't sure if you'd mentioned packet 3 or not. Must have mixed it up with the Germans. The instructions for the Amsterdam consulate are pretty clear in terms of knowing that we get packet 3 first. I'm now waiting for the consulate to contact me on how I can schedule my interview.

The interview request paper looked like the attached pic.

Any news on your case? Did you call NVC and/or Embassy?

Hi!

We got our NOA2 today (yaaaaaaaaaaayyy) and we are wondering if we should call the NVC, or is it too early?

Also, for a Canadian, what is the window we should expect for POE? I know it's not an easy answer but some sort of educated min-max-likely would be helpful.

Thank you in advance!

That's awesome! When was you NOA1 date?

I haven't had good Yorkshire pudding in more years than I care to admit (longer than most of you have been alive).  Grandma Beatrice made the best!  Her roast beef was WAY overcooked but damn, that Yorkshire pudding and mince meat pie will be in my fondest memories until my last breath.

Sweet, congrats!  It's too early.  It took me 6 weeks from Dec. 21 (NOA2) to Feb. 2 to get a case #, but the trend appears to be a little quicker now.  Give it 2 weeks, then call.

After NVC # then you have to wait till it's 'ready' at the consulate.  Then you can submit DS160.  It's been 2-3 weeks for some from DS160 to packet 3.  Then packet 4 seems to be within a couple of days.  That's when you can pay the fee (or at interview) and schedule interview and medical.  The Montreal website says it takes 2-3 months to get an interview, but I think that's slightly exaggerated (at least I hope so).  Then another 2-4 weeks to get visa.  The whole process takes longer than a lot of other countries :(

There's some Montreal specific stuff here:

And Canadian stuff here:

And several Canadians just ahead of you here:
