Hello. I received an email from the NVC on February 2nd saying that they had sent my petition to the US consulate. I called the US consulate on the 6th and they had told me they didn't receive it yet. I called the next day, on the 7th, and they said they received my petition. I checked the CEAC tracker and it said "Ready". The lady at the consulate said I could set up my interview after I paid a $265 fee at a local bank in Mexico. They sent me an email saying how to pay this fee with a unique PIN number. So.

My fiance paid the fee the next day and immediately received a confirmation email stating they had processed the payment. I was successfully able to set up an account and schedule his interview. However, the consulate website says I need to bring the "letter" that comes in the mail (hard copy) to the interview. I have heard of people never getting the letter and still being able to go to the interview? Is this true, or do I need to contact the consulate to receive a hard copy of his interview or Packet 4?

Also the affidavit of support. My fiance needs to present that at the interview?

Thank you!!

@Jolie&Charles

😳 enjoy Istanbul!!! (I'm a little jealous hehe) eat fish sandwich for meee, and baked potatoes (I need to stop thinking food but if you haven't try yet, Ortakoy is famous for its baked potatoes!)

finally some movement! Hope it is an easy problem (most likely is as you have a lawyer.. I'm guessing like they lost a letter of intent or just want more evidence)

Haha ah we should try the potatoes! We almost did that last trip but we slept in that day.

Yea, we had so much evidence from multiple trips, im assuming it’s passport photos or letter of intent. They seem to lose those the most frequently. 🙄

Hi everyone. I'll be booking my fiancee's ticket soon, I just wanted to ask about a transit visa. Does anyone know if she goes from Tunis > Paris > JFK if she needs a transit visa? I wish I had a definite answer because so far all I can is she *shouldn't* but I wish I knew for sure.

Random question. If I get my visa to travel following my interview Does my next trip have to be America? My mum wants to take me to Italy for a late 30th bday present.

I don’t know if I can squeeze the trip in beforehand

Just saying what I did (and our stuff has been approved)

1) fiance

2) I included student loan, car payment, and what little credit card debt I owe. I admittedly rounded but I don't think they care so much

3) I don't remember this exact question nor do I have the form in front of me, but if it asks you if you've submitted a visa application before then you should say hi if you're a USC

Thank you!

Hello Guys,

I have an issue. I just realized that the authorities in Cameroon made a mistake in making my fiance's passport. The way birth certificates are make there, there is no clear designation of first, middle, last names. So they made his passport putting all his names as a last name with no first, middle name. The problem is, i filed for the I-129f (which i still have not had an NOA 2 lol) with a clear first, middle, and last name. Now the question is this. Do i try making a new passport which will take a lot of time or do i just contact USCIS and correct his name to reflect the passport. I worry that if i take the second option he will be forced to live his whole life in the US having only last names which is not cool. And the first option runs the risk of more delays.

Please i can use your two cents on this. Hope all is well with everyone. Also i have not seen "supernatural martins" i hope he is ok.

Bring it on Day 243 tomorrow!!!!

Check this with your EMBASSY.

They would have more knowledge of your birth certificates, show them a copy if possible of that, and the passport, and ask their advice.  USCIS themselves will be useless for advice on this matter, but your own embassy could be helpful AND at the end of the day, they are the ones who will actually handle your passport.

I would say get the passport fixed.  You want to send as clean a case to your embassy as you could.

07/27/17 - K1 packet sent at the end of day.

07/31/17 - NOA1

03/22/18 - NOA2

08/28/18 - expected date for medical completion - Sputum test was needed

09/22/18 - anticipated interview date

For those that have worked on their Affidavit of support, and perhaps completed their interviews with no problems, would you please help me with the following:

1) On page 2, part 2, question 7 - what would we say the relationship of  the beneficiary to us is- "fiance?" Or is this a "none" question.

2) On page 3, part 3, question 8 - about mortgages and other debts. What exactly are they looking at as debt? Do I include my student loans (lol) and car payment in there? Or what...

3) On page 4,  part 3, question 26- about submitting a visa application to USCIS. Is this a "None" answer? Or is this the place we list our beneficiary, and would the relationship to us be "fiance?"

Thank you all! :D

If I remember well, that question asking about debts is about real estate as it says in the topic. I wouldn’t include student loans
