Well, Monday will be 30 days from my last Congressional inquiry.  The last one was fruitless as all I got from the Congressmen I could get from any Tier I or any one here for that matter.  We have all heard the BS.  I will have them try again but I dont expect much.  He is even up for re-election and he still doesn't seem to care.

@SM2017

I waited for mine to change to "Ready" before registering for the medical and completing my DS-160. I gathered all the documents needed for the medical and interview while waiting.

In my case, from At NVC to Ready took 11 days. I am taking a week's rest from work before doing th medical exam. I wanted to make sure I am 100% healthy.

@Allthephils Based on your timeline you were able to do the medical even before the NVC status said it was "Ready" right?

What can I do at this point aside from gathering all needed documents?

Stephen will be here on the first week of March, can he go to the interview with me?

Everything I’ve read about the medical is that you have to an interview scheduled first.

We paid for the visa and my fiance' attended his medical while NVC status was "at NVC". It took about a week to go from "at NVC" to "ready". We actually scheduled the interview while the status was "at NVC" as well. He completed his medical a week before his interview. When you have the MNL number, you can pretty much do everything. We had all of our documents prepared before we received NOA2 so we only waited on the status to change to "ready". :D

Oh and I need the original copy of his affidavit of support, right?

What documents are okay to just have the scanned copies?

Yes he can. Tony is going with me to the interview. We will book it on the last week of February.

You can actually book an interview now just make sure you choose a date that is 2 or 3 weeks from when you got your NVC case#. You can take the medical at least 1 week before your interview. You don't need to book an appointment for that, just register online at slec.ph.

Mark had his official NBI, CENOMAR, and birth certificate. We also had the original version of the support affidavit, but a scanned copy of the updated letter of intent to marry. They didn't ask for any of our supporting docs that we had prepared.

Oh so we need the affidavit of support, the original copy. I'll have him mail me that since I don't have it yet.

Thank you so much guys! :)

They didn't ask for the support affidavit, but I would recommend taking it just in case.

We scheduled my fiance's interview almost 2 weeks after we received our case number....we moved a little too quick ;). But it all worked out!
