I just got an email from USCIS.

Approved Feb 8.

What a relief after 227 days of waiting.

I called the NVC again today before going to work, and the lady who I spoke to gave me a little more info compared to the guy I spoke to yesterday.

 

So she said they received our documents yesterday, and I should call back in a few weeks.

So I decided to email the address you shared @John & Rose and the automated email response basically said unless it had been over 30 days since I submitted my inquiry that I was SOL. Oh well, I figure I had to try every avenue!

They gave me a case number. How long does it take before it shows up in the CEAC website when you try to look it up?

The reason American football is the real football and not soccer is that we are stronger and faster. That’s the reason for the pads, if we didn’t wear them we’re so strong we would kill each other on the field.

After 242 days.... drum roll please... we got an RFE! It is still possible.

 

Obviously would have preferred an approval, but I'm literally SO happy to have an update. I'm leaving for Istanbul tonight, but we can send our lawyer whatever they want when we get the letter.

Ummmm I hate to break it to you but in football, we actually use our feet.... not carry the ball in our hands and run away from each other, and then kick it once in a while.

So it didn't work when I tried to look it up and used NON IMMIGRANT in the drop down thingy, but it did work with the IMMIGRANT option. Is this right?

 

What should I do next? Can I schedule a medical now?
