Hi Everyone, 

 

I've been MIA for a while because the waiting was getting to me. My Fiance just went back to the US this morning so I thought I'd catch up with the forum.... SO MANY PAGES!

We called USCIS (back in December) who said we're pending background checks but haven't heard anything since. As soon as the processing date changed, we put in an online inquiry which we're waiting to hear back from.

 

Super sad that @John & Rose is also still waiting. Congratulations to everyone else who has been approved! Also, thanks to @Naes for noticing I was offline on the virgins list.

Right now I have that one and my Congressman will do another inquiry on Feb 12.  That would be one month from the initial congressional inquiry.

So my service request was originally assigned to an officer on  2/2, but now it says it' was assigned on 2/6. Has anyone else had their's change? I just picture them playing hot potato with my request.

Yes.  That happened to me and then I got a response the next day.  Not a great response but it was a response.

Remember USPS is the Federal Government.  Once they think you can figure them out they change everything

Mine still hasn’t been assigned to anyone and I submitted it on 1/29. Ugh

IMO, I would get it to your fiance asap if you are trying to get everything scheduled and completed quickly--original signature or scanned. The CO's didn't ask for any of our supporting docs, but we were prepared! 

 

I'll just get it ready then.

 

We're pass the NOA2 part, but right now I'm getting confused about what to do.

 

Like, should I quit my job and prepare myself and everything that I need for the medical, interview, and poe?

 

I need to render 30 days  and another 45 days for me to get my last pay. So I don't know if I should put my notice in now. Stephen wants me to figure that on my own and I so needs some help with the decision making. I'm feeling blah at the moment.

I have one that has sat since Jan 24 and is still active.  The one from Jan 30 was answered...go figure.

Hmmm I had a tier 1 put in my request vs. the online system. He seemed pretty sympathetic so maybe he flagged it?

Once we received our MCN number, we moved super quick. I have a timeline in my signature. My fiance' attended medical while the status was still "at NVC". His interview was a week later (the 5th). His passport is currently en route to be delivered at 2go in Batangas City. It all happened very quick. I'd say from the time we received our MCN to his visa (almost) on hand was 15 days (including weekends). Once you get the MCN number from NVC, you pretty much have control of the process. When was your NOA 2 date? Have you received a case number (MCN) from NVC?
