Oh ok! I decided to call my Congresswoman’s office today to go that route next

There is a link on your Congressman's website for "Help with a Government Agency".  Click on that.  Then you have a paper trail.  When you call you never know.  You have to fill out the inquiry, print, sign and fax it back.  They need your permission to look into your case.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

The office emailed me a release to complete so that they can submit an inquiry...should that be enough of a paper trail?

So somebody screwed up at NVC and inputted my birthdate wrong so until it's updated, we can't get any update on our case. I'm going to send them what they asked for and then call them myself and ask for a supervisor. I'm not having this delayed because something THEY screwed up, not us.

I have seen mixed answers about this and the updated letter of intent. My I-134 form did have my original signature, but my letter from employer was a scanned copy. They didn't even ask for the support affidavit at my fiance's interview. The updated letter of intent I sent him was also a scanned copy. They didn't ask for that either.

IMO, I would get it to your fiance asap if you are trying to get everything scheduled and completed quickly--original signature or scanned. The CO's didn't ask for any of our supporting docs, but we were prepared!

Doesn't say it applies to I-134, but I don't think it would be a problem or it would be a much bigger deal here with people getting delayed at interview for it.

You would be amazed at how often that happens with UK beneficiaries.  We do Month/Day/Year.  The UK does Day/Month/Year.

So to the US today is 02/08/2018.  To the UK it is 08/02/2018!  Is that what happened?

Unlikely, as my birthday is the 16th, so their system would've hopefully flagged when they tried to input the "16th month".

My fiancee just told me they asked for "the applicant's birthday" and he was giving mine, so I have a feeling HE is actually the one who screwed up, so I'm calling them now. :P

Hey All,

After waiting over 242 days, our visa FINALLY got approved. Just received NVC case number after 8 days of its arrival- DONT WAIT, start calling after 8 days, things are moving quickly. It's honestly a bit surrrrreal that things are flying at this point. Just to encourage everyone on this journey that good things happen and are happening. Be persistent, keep your peace and let this wait time build greater intimacy with your loved ones. Grace to all still waiting! I can't imagine ones like @John & Rose who have children and are still waiting.. carrying you in prayer.

Congratulations!

Still you should be happy since they are at least looking at the file.  The delay sucks but they have your petition in hand!

I'm SUPER happy! It's just even more annoying knowing they definitely have it, they just won't tell us. :P
The first time I called, they didn't ask for any security check, so this time I know they at least have it!

Hi!!! Doing well! We've been in contact with the embassy in Ankara about the travel ban, but they said that the wording of the travel ban was very clear and to "decide accordingly" what our next steps will be. Lol I don't think it's a good sign. I'm planning on moving to Turkey instead this August!! My fiancé has already been interviewed for Turkish citizenship, so we're thinking of staying in Turkey for one or two years, and later, when we're able, to immigrate to the US.

I just checked your profile and I can't believe you're still waiting for your NOA2!!! If I could have given you our NOA2 instead, I would :(

That's so frustrating! Also odd that your petition only got held up with the embassy.

Hahaha my fiance would much prefer for me to just move to Turkey as well. Just not in the cards with my job. What city will you guys be living in?
