Fount this in a k1 medical exam thread. Written by a woman

- so my turn finally came...the doctor gave a brief interview and then asked me to remove clothing, wear a gown and lay in the exam bed.

She did a quick but thorough inspection, including private parts...

A french girl who runs a blog wrote this about the medical, it was about a year ago..

"The compulsory medical exam is a routine checking. The doctor checked my weight, my height and then quick checking of the rest. Nothing to be stressed about !"

I guess it depends of each countries and we can't decide !! lol

Preach girlfriend!!!! LEAVE GENITALIA ALONE !! They already do an STD blood test what more do you want !!! Just another way to make immigrants feel exposed and dehumanized. Then again I am very sensitive in that whole nudity department.

It’s the One year one.

Glad they have their minds set. It really will be a better future for the kids to be getting an education and a life set up there. Humbling to know they trust you completely.

I get frightened sometimes, when i think about how i wouldn’t know anyone but my would-be-husband.. but we’ll see what happens. His father is keen on meeting me though, actually, more keen on me, visiting him to make him food. He loves to eat, and was ecstatic to find out i work as a Cook.

Anyway, Thanks for answering!

Make sure you serve sinigang and pancit!  Yes, it is humbling and I really know how difficult it will be for them.  I will do my best to make the transition as easy as possible.  I have the rice cooker and I will get filipino channels on cable.  We also are lucky enough to have a Jolibees close by.

Packet 3 came in the mail today!

I was unimpressed by the size of it!  It's an A5 envelop with 4 sheets of paper folded over.

I guess because it's such an important thing, I had expected it to be bigger, or at least in a big envelop!

Either way, time to get busy! :D

How long did it take for Packet 3 to arrive from it saying "Ready" on the status checker online??

Sigh. This process is truly the worst time of my life. Glad it's almost over. I'll just pretend to be dead when it happens. Hate all the hoops we have to jump through, even when they go against our morals.

But it needs to be done I guess :(

I hear the Philippines is also a basically "hands off" exam.  Gown with bra and panties on.
