Got my Paket #3 today too,

   everything is moving incredibly fast now. Always within 2-3 days. I'm waiting for the affidavit of support to arrive. My love sent it a couple days ago. Should be here any day  then I can finally mail all our stuff in and get ready for the interview. 

 

 

The medical worries me, girls out there that have already been through it? I know they're supposed to examine the outside of the genitalia and I am incredibly uncomfortable with that. Just want to know to what extend I need a stranger to stare at me....  or even touch ??? Sorry for the TMI everyone

I have never heard of the doc going there during the medical..

Who said that ? examine outside of the genitalia for women would be pretty pointless, since we have nothing out !! ahaha 

 

Havent heard men getting examine either..

It's on the consulate website and I have read several posts on here where some of the guys had to drop the pants and the doctor felt their boys. 

I wonder how that works for women. I mean do we have to stand completely naked for boobs and... well the cat downstairs? Are they gonna look at both and possibly touch both parts?  Really uncomfortable since pretty much all the doctors approved from my us consulate are male and not gynecologists.

I am going to see a male too.. And them not being gynecologist I don't think they have the right to get "inside".. From blog and blog I never heard that and hope its not the case either !

Try to call the secretary of the doc you will be going to and ask them what to they do during this medical visit, they will tell you !

Thanks for the tip!! I might schedule the medical this week, depending if I get an interview appointment. Standard language is that the external genitalia is being examined. Let's pray that's not the case. I don't  want some old random guy to see me naked and get close to my kitty. Doctor or not, nobody should see my bare body that isn't my husband  I grew up with very oldfashioned Standards haha. Guess I don't oblige the stereotype of a European lol. God help me

Medical done and case is ready status at the consulate.  We just need to fill out the ds-160 and get an interview scheduled!

Can you tell us how it went ? Especially in regards of nudity and genitalia examination? Also, sorry to ask but are you male or female ?

Our efforts have gone back to developing and maintaining intimacy in our everyday lives. Sharing photos and videos of what we are doing, no matter how mundane (chopping onions? Here, have this great pick of me laughing and crying) to regularly scheduled calls (always when we wake up and before we go to bed--tho, easier because we are only 1 hour apart). We even go shopping together via photos and chats... 

 

None of this is a replacement for the absence of those touches, smells (I often close my eyes and focus on the smell of my fiancee's hair in the sun from my last trip to see her), and warmth of your loved ones, really, though it can strengthen those memories and make the wait just a little more bearable.

ahaha No worries, I am very comfortable with my body but still don't want a stranger person and his cold hands to touch me ! LOL

- so my turn finally came...the doctor gave a brief interview and then asked me to remove clothing, wear a gown and lay in the exam bed.

She did a quick but thorough inspection,including private parts...

Is that 1 year on the NBI or 6 months?  Rose's 6 months is up in April.  We will get a new one if it gets close.  The fiancee can do the GCP without having a visa in hand.  That is the only non-visa CFO seminar allowed.  Rose did hers a while ago.  It is boring but required in order to get the stamp and leave the Philippines.  They talk about cultural differences and where to go for help if you need it after moving.

 

I am very aware of all the changes that Rose and the kids will have to deal with.  I ask them often if they truly are sure they want to leave.  It is probably more difficult for me mentally than it is for them.  I am very humbled that they want to be in the States with us.

It’s the One year one.

 

Glad they have their minds set. It really will be a better future for the kids to be getting an education and a life set up there. Humbling to know they trust you completely. 

 

I get frightened sometimes, when i think about how i wouldn’t know anyone but my would-be-husband.. but we’ll see what happens. His father is keen on meeting me though, actually, more keen on me, visiting him to make him food. He loves to eat, and was ecstatic to find out i work as a Cook.

For a second there i thought i had to do the same, then realized it was different all over the world.
