To be fair it would/should drastically improve the background check stages of application.

Yes I called to ask if the website was down because I haven't been able to track my case on the tracker she said the website was working fine but that the tracker was not available for k1 visas that my case is in route to the embassy and that I should contact the embassy directly and I told her but what about the "in transit" or "ready" status and she just repeat the same again

Guys

this is has been posted on May about NVC tracker and k1 cases I'm leaving this here as a quote please let people know so they won't get worried

Hey All, my fiancee has a visa in Ghana lived there for a few years an just kept extending the visa he never became a permanent resident, but because of his address in Ghana they forwarded his petition there .... after we requested it to Nigeria they said no because he lives in Ghana.....the issue is we are wondering will we have to get a permanent resident card from Ghana or can he just use his visa? mind you his Ghana visa is not expired but it says if you live in ghana for a certain time you must become a resident...will this you think affect the interview? does he have to apply for permanent resident card? that is 500 bucks and it takes 2 weeks to process .... just confused on should we just used his visa and passport.

I know that there are (at least) 2 ladies on here who do not live in their home countries, and will be interviewing where they live now. So yes, living in and interviewing from a country other than your home country is fine, but I don't know the status that someone is required to have in that country, or whether it is even relevant to the US Authorities.

My personal guess is that he should be fine since you said that he is there legally on a visa, just not a permanent resident.

Is there a chance that he can call the embassy in Accra to verify?

Only other thought: Will he be able to obtain a police report from Ghana with his current visa?

Did you get a confirmation of them receiving your docs??? I haven’t seen any update anywhere letting me know they have actually received my docs 😰 this is so stressing

Not a 100% confirmation. Just that the place they sent it to is the right building. No idea if it's in the right department or if they have touched it to put it on the 'to do' pile.

I'm even more p!ssed off now since seeing that they are chipping away at August now. Erm, how about get your butts back to May and June, and get us lot finished, eh?! 😑

The weird part is May and june is out of processing times, it's not even considered normal anymore!?  I don't know what's taking them from putting them in an expedite situation...

I hear you! They need to get it together for our sake...I did received notification from them around 9:40 pm eastern time last night. I also have an app update too! Well, I have double updates from them because they now have two packets with additional evid now from me. They probably think I’m nuts 😳😂 now we have to wait and see how long it takes them to review it. I’m wonde omg if it’s wven safe now to be considering “what’s next for us to do” or if we just sit tight and wait for NOA2 in order to start preparation for the 3rd part of this overwhelming process.

How many people from the forum left behind in May? I know we have three from early June... plus all the ones sending in their RFE’s who are waiting for a reply... ugggh this is such bull 🤬

people’s livelihood are at stake here, while one orange person dictates how and when and even if we should have the right to enjoy it... no offense to anyone (just venting)
