Hello.

After completing DS160, can I call to make an appoinment or should I wait until the consulate contacts me? My attorney told me to wait but I see other people getting ahead of this step and setting it up by themselves. I'm torn between listening to my attorney or going ahead of the game and setting up the interview myself.

Is the CEAC tracker not working for anyone else?  I get a captcha error every time I try to check status.

Hmm.  Saw it was supposed to be down for scheduled maintenance yesterday for 4 hours but obviously we're outside that...gotta love unstable updates!

I missed that.  For about 10 hours I thought something had happened to my case - then @Hadassah123 asked on here and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Haha, I didn't see my doctor wash/sterilize  his hands after touching my, ahem, boys! Straight over to his computer touching his mouse and keyboard... It got me thinking how many other guys have 'touched' his computer

It depends on the embassy. For some, you have to wait for them to contact. For others, you'll be prompted after completing the DS-160 to schedule.

I am glad I was not the only one,  I was worried for a while.
