So I called NVC yesterday and they said they dont see my application and then he recided the regular disclaimer abt 4 weeks to get it and 2 weeks to process. I was approved Jan 22nd. When inwoke up this morning I see an email from NVC stating my application was sent tothe Nigerian consulate!!!! What?!?! Hello, are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? 

Also is the beneficiary supposed to fill DS 160 or DS 260? I’ve read different things. Quite confused. 

 

The steps with the Nigerian embassy is very unclear. Do you mind sharing any information you have about the appropriate steps that needs to be taken after the case is in a “ready” status?

I have lots of friends in Texas... Dallas, Fort Worth, a couple near Houston I think, if not IN Houston.  A visit could definitely be manageable.

I’m a petitioner my fiancé is in Lagos, Nigeria. He said he has to do the DA-160 and submit payment (to GT Bank) and submit receipt number with application. Then Get the physical and police report. He mentioned it takes abt 2 weeks to get an appointment for interview  and 5 days after that to receive the visa if approved. I saw this online and it helped me maybe it’ll help u also:

Here's a dessert tip (if you like desserts)....

Go to "Baloch Ice Cream and Juice" in Sugar Land and ask for a Faluda. If you haven't already tried it....your life is about to change!

Thank you, I have the affidavit and other supporting documents ready. We ll complete the DS 160 application asap.

Martin u from Houston? My brother lives there and I or hopefully we (meaning my fiancee and I) will be down for a couple weeks sometime this year. If USCIS gets in gear.

We're going to BPI in Manila tomorrow when they are open to pay the embassy fee and then schedule the interview and register for the medical exam! Getting closer!

Hello Everyone Welcome to another dreadful weekend 

(This is the one and only place where we don't like holidays!)

 

How are your packing and getting ready activities going?

 

After packing for a 2 whole day (still not finished!)

I'm sitting in a living room with oh so many boxes creating the perfect fortress around me!

 

I'll be sending my poor giant fiancé with tiny woman shoes and dresses to US next time he comes... So the possibility of someone checking the suitcases is killing me (of any type of laughter you can imagine...that will be hilarious)

 

So dear Junies, I know this week didn't go as well as we thought. 

We still saw some movement through mails and also some RFE7s got their approval happily!

 

And hopefully we will get some of the no movement dates in the next few weeks... With that said,

Yes overall through the online updates it seems like they put July as a main, and June is the following month.

 

It also looks like they went ahead with 6/19 which is a date that doesn't really move online much!

Thank you for doing this, it's so awesome! It was a slow week for some of us, but I see a lot of movement, plus their online system lags behind their approvals. I wonder what the May graph looks like!
