So I guess I will have to wait till they notify me of my case number before I can know what is going on with the case?. Is there No way to track it at this point

Correct. You can start calling NVC about 10 days after NOA2 approval to inquire whether your case has been received and whether a case number has been generated yet.

Thanks! I'm sure yours is just around the corner! All we can ever do is hope once its all be submitted right?!

I was also unsure if wed get to choose or if it would be assigned but my partner who is in Australia received an email yesterday informing him of the time and date of his interview. We used a lawyer so our DS 160 form was submitted the day it left the NVC. Did you use a lawyer and have you submitted your DS160 yet?

Nah no lawyer for us!

I haven't done the DS160 yet because I had assumed we couldn't submit it until we have the 'ready' status with the embassy?

We had ours done and ready to submit as soon as the embassy had received the case. I'm not sure what other people have done but you could probably start working on it to have it ready for when they need it! Good luck!

Hi! Where did u see your update on the RFE? My status page on uscis.gov has not updated since they received the initial petition.

After sending back our RFE, we called a couple of days after they were supposed to get it to confirm that they had received it, and they told us on the phone that they had. That was on Monday, then at some point on Wednesday evening, it was approved. May be worth calling them!

@Naes

I wanted to let you know about our case as we've moved forward:

6/21: NOA1

1/05: NOA2

1/26: NVC receive

1/31: NVC "in transit" & "ready"

2/5: Going to get police reports. He's just going to take the NOA2 forms with him unless we get his packet by then.

2/9: Medical scheduled @ Seibo. We called yesterday, the earliest spot they had was on Tuesday, but you need to bring the packet with you, so we're giving it a week and a little to make sure they have enough time to send the documents to us. He also didn't have his flu shot done this year, so they'll take care of that there too.

=======

The rest isn't booked, but it's what we're planning on doing:

2/14 or 2/16: Police certificate pickup. They say it takes "10 days", not sure if they mean business days or not. We'll see on Monday.

2/16 or 2/19: Interview! We're planning on picking up the medical results directly from Seibo instead of waiting for them to be mailed. The medical results are available 3 days after your medical for pickup, or it will take about a week for them to be sent. He lives in Shizuoka, so we're planning on picking them up either the day before the interview if it is a morning appointment, or the morning-of if it is an afternoon appointment.

3/2 or 3/9: POE!

Wow thank you!!! Can you tell me later about how long the packet took to get to you?

I'll try calling the police in Kanagawa just to ask if I can get it with noa1!

I will let you know.

Yeah, I don't think it would hurt to ask, but when my guy called they said they would *prefer* you have something more substantial. But essentially proof that you're applying for a visa is enough, from my understanding.

My fiancé has a friend who lives Cavite, so he stayed with him and drove to SLEC that morning. He was 11th in line and got there around 3:30. All of the exams took place on the first day. He is going back on 1/30 for shots and review of the exams. Praying everything went flawless and he is healthy :). I’ll update more when the whole medical process is over.

hello, i and my 2k2s are done with our medical, passed, and got the brown envelope and cd, and the vaccination worksheet. How did it go for your fiance?

They will update your status to "Request for Evidence Was Received" once your RFE is at USCIS and then begins the wait (hopefully a short one) for your NOA2 approval.

Should I be concerned if they still haven't received it? I put it in the mail on Sunday
