DS-160

This is what you should be following - it contains links etc

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Boy do i feel like an idiot... been on that site 1000 times but never noticed it actually takes you through the process in such detail and with links to all relevant pages. Thanks guys i'll keep you updated. I think I need to book medical before I do anything else so I'll get that done tomorrow.

Ours is in transit now going to the Manila Embassy, 8 days after it was received at NVC  Do you think i need to fill out the DS160 and get my interview sched?

regarding the interview though, it says it was provided by the NVC, but... how would i know when? Or should i go ahead and schedule mine via Online?

what did you guys do?

thanks!

My fiance' completed his medical and scheduled his interview while our NVC status was "at NVC". He completed his medical on 1/29-30 and his interview is scheduled for Monday, the 5th. Apparently most people wait until their status is "ready" to do medical and schedule an interview. NVC does not provide an interview for the embassy in Manila. I believe that message is just standard for NVC. You have to pay your visa fee at BPI before you can schedule an interview. https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ Here is the link for scheduling an interview. At the end of the registration, it will ask for your MVR receipt number (where you made your payment for the visa at BPI). From there, you can schedule an interview. Visa fee has to be paid before you do medical. There is a gentleman on here who has put a website together that I have found very resourceful. I would recommend checking it out. http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/index.html

As for the DS-160, he completed one back in November before NOA2. I suggested he resubmit a new one since the dates of arrival have changed significantly. He waited until the case was "ready" to submit the DS-160.

We didn’t get an option for interview dates, that was just sssigned to us. We got our noa2 on 1/12and our nvc case number was created 17/1  and was sent to syd on 26/1. I’d guess you’ll get your interview date assigned within a week but I’m not sure you’ll have it by the first week of march!

Okay, I was unsure as to if they assigned it for us or not.

i guess I'll just have to hope hey.

well congrats, it's taken so long to get to this point is kinda surreal knowing it's so close!

Gooooooooood morning all! It must've been late last night that it was updated, but my RFE has already been processed and the petition is now APPROVED! I sent the RFE last Thursday, so it's taken them a week to get it done!

Last time I got a case update, it rained them here as well, so I'm hoping to see lots more people wake up to happiness this morning! <3

Hi! Where did u see your update on the RFE? My status page on uscis.gov has not updated since they received the initial petition.

Is the "international version of birth certificate" only for your country? My wife is from Vietnam, and no one has said anything about an international version of her birth certificate. I hired Rapid Visa, they haven't said anything...

Hi! Not sure to what other countries it applies. For the Dutch people it's necessary and easy to obtain. Dutchies: request it at the "gemeente" where you were born. You can also do this online through your digiD. It arrives within 5 days.

Thanks! I'm sure yours is just around the corner! All we can ever do is hope once its all be submitted right?!

I was also unsure if wed get to choose or if it would be assigned but my partner who is in Australia received an email yesterday informing him of the time and date of his interview. We used a lawyer so our DS 160 form was submitted the day it left the NVC. Did you use a lawyer and have you submitted your DS160 yet?

I think i'm going to get it once i get my NOA2, or do you think i should get it before that? I may also need a German police certificate because i worked at a Dutch army base in germany. I have no idea if i need a German police certificate for that.

Hi! I would get it a little before your NOA2. It can take up to one month to receive your VOG. Sometimes it's within 1-2 weeks. Just make sure that it's not older than 6 months at the time of your interview. I'm not sure about the german one though. Good luck!

Put my RFE response in the mail Sunday but haven’t gotten a notice from them they they received it. Will they only notify me once they’ve made the decision to approve/not approve?

They will update your status to "Request for Evidence Was Received" once your RFE is at USCIS and then begins the wait (hopefully a short one) for your NOA2 approval.
