Finally a letter from from NVC and good news.   We've approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your petition to this U.S. Embassy for their action. The Embassy will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview.   I am very happy.

How did you expedite it? Or is that general wording?

This is good news. What was the basis for your expedite request?

Did you send the request to the NVC directly or through USCIS?

I believe just general wording, I did inquire earlier because of unrest 43 people killed where she lives in civil disorder but never heard anything.

Soo I got my NVC number today!! Yesss!

Now my question is, having the number is fun to know, but realistically what I can use it for at this time? Don't I need to wait for an email from the consulate before we can get the medical check? Or can I go ahead and schedule that? Also, I'm not even sure where to find the hospitals that are acceptable for the medical check.

NOA1 - June 26, 2017

NOA2 - January 17, 2018

NVC # Received - January 31, 2018

each consulate is slightly different but you should be able to the ds-160 ready and check your status on Ceac.

Hello guys, what a sad  day,, I lost my dad  today. This is the worst  experience  I ever  had  in  my  life 😭😭

Sorry for your loss. I lost my brother during this process, and I understand how it feels dealing with this k-1 situation at the same time you are trying to grieve.  Hopefully your SO can be by your side soon to help you through it.

What was your RFE about?

They wanted to know if we used a International Marriage Broker (which we didn't) since my lawyer vaguely said that we just met online without putting the website and more details.

I didn't even say how we met. Where it asked how we met in person, I just put that "we decided to meet in person..."  I think getting an rfe for that is kind of a ####### shoot, but I have noticed more people getting them when they say they met online.

Yeah I know 😩 I guess they take the IMB stuff seriously. This whole process is a little confusing. I still don't understand how USCIS approves a case but it's technically not  since the individual can't come to the U.S.  yet and needs an interview to truly be "approved" and gets granted a visa. I know everything has a process, I just wish it got to the nitty gritty as soon as they receive the petition like with the marriage visa. Butttt i guess that's why the fiancé visa is different !?

I'm sorry for your loss. I won't lie and say I understand how you feel, but I know you're going through a treacherous, tough time. I pray for your strength and that you heal from this pain in due time 💕
