Exactly.

there was this May member who's noa2 never reached him and after waiting an extra month or so he learnt that he got noa2 and NVC case number at the same time 😊

Well's here's to hoping that some of the people who have been waiting ages get their approval's soon.  I feel for them all I really do.  At least once the first part is approved it goes fairly quickly now.

EAD Received Date: June 07 2018

It really is extremely quick and smooth after noa2. I'm just hoping everything goes back to normal completely for NVC, and for everyone who's waiting for weeks to get their case numbers!

I have a little problem, my middle name on my approved petition is wrong although I am a 130 filer. Do I correct it at this nvc stage or just wait till interview. Here's an example of the mistake

my name before marriage: SUZANNE PAUL MARTIN

changed my name to hubbys name after marriage: SUZANNE JOHN ZACHARY

petition filed as : SUZANNE PAUL ZACHARY

note that PAUL was my middle name before I took my husband middle name and surname.

Passport and other submitted documents bears: SUZANNE JOHN ZACHARY

I would call NVC because I think as you stay longer at the nvc stage, it may be better to change it while it is there.

Hi folks, I called the NVC and they received our case on the 26th of Jan (NOA2 16th of Jan). So it looks like they're getting the cases fairly fast!!

I have a quick question and I know this isn't really the group for it, but everyone here is so helpful. I'm from the UK but living in Canada, so I'll be having my interview in Montreal. I was wondering, after approval can I travel back to the UK and then to the US from there, or do you need to enter the US from the country I will receive approval, I.E. Canada? Just wondering because things are moving fast and I need to make plans :) Hope y'all are having a nice Tuesday.

@Naes is planning to do the same!

She's original from Turkey, living in Japan. She will interview in Japan, travel back to Turkey to see her family and then do POE to the US (so coming from Turkey rather than Japan).

Naes, hope I had that info correct - sorry to fill in the gaps for you ^_^

@Ludovic UK I missed that post! @Hadassah123 thanks!

yep I am doing that or I will come back to Japan and go I didn't even decide for sure as timelines are moving,

but the main point is your poe won't matter - there are couples who go meet in Mexico have a vacation and cross the border together too..

(just be careful not to accidentally enter US territory and use K1 at the poe by accident and then leave! that would be disastrous)

But again thats clearly not what I said.  I never said anything about the time after NOA2.  I also hadn't aimed my opinion at you, so what you said about after NVC case number wasn't what I was talking about at all.

Let me be simple and clear:  I am shocked by people who come here and say "I got my NOA2 and have no idea what else I have to do now?".  I am not being offensive about those people. I am not saying I will not help those people. I am also not saying that it isn't OK to have sat around for 7 months since the NOA1 without researching, reading or learning what happens next BUT it shocks me.  It shocks me even more when those people have been in this thread, over and over and over complaining about how long it takes to get that NOA2... but you didn't even get yourself ready or prepared...  Thats it. Plain and simple.  Not offensive. Just my opinion that it surprises me.

Cool?

Morning,

Just to say.. that I understand now.. If you just meant STEPS I agree ! This forum saved and keep saving lives lol 👐

We good 😉

It doenst show on the USCIS website. If you already have your case number after the NOA2, go to this one to check : https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Visa type is Non Immigrant Visa : NIV

Select location : The Embassy location at your country that handle your visa case

Enter your case number : The one that you got after NOA2

After you enter all the info, it will show either of these following :

- AT NVC :  Your case is now at NVC, the will send it to your consulate at your country

- IN TRANSIT : Your case is on the way to your consulate at your country

- READY :  The Consulate receive your case, you can now process to book the medical exam, interview,... etc

Thank you! I got it , it’s at the NVC and I just filled out the DS 160!

What questions were asked on the DS-160?

Basically what they already knew!

Passport info, times I’ve travelled to the us, previous visas, occupation, health concerns , fiancés details, address I’ll be staying at, and relatives in the US , and then about a 100 yes or no questions about being in a terrorist group or involved in any other criminal activities !

Did they ask for specific dates you travelled to the US? A little worried about this as we did not keep close track because my fiancé is from Canada

He had asked for a I-94 and that’s what got him into secondary and denied at the border...so yeah we don’t have it
