Hey Cryssiekins, have you ever had to deal with officer Frank on the US side? He usually works at the Lewiston/Queenston bridge....he's a real....peach (not). I used to work in Toronto for 3 days a week and would use the Whirlpool bridge (NEXUS only) to cross over when I would come home on Friday nights. He was always working when I would cross back over into the US and he was a real a&*&**. He would always give me a hard time and detain me for about 25 minutes. The officers at the NEXUS only bridge are not supposed to give NEXUS pass holders a hard time as the point of the NEXUS pass is for people who cross over very frequently. Even when I became a US citizen, it was the same thing. I finally had to go in and speak to his supervisor about him. After that I never ever had a problem with him.

I have not.  Thankfully, I've only had pleasant experiences with the US border officers.

The Canadian ones, on the other hand, are where we've had problems, which is infuriating to me bc I'm a Canadian citizen.

Either way, I always expect the worst coming up to the Lewiston bridge, but never have an issue, other than a wait sometimes.

Those Canadian guys can be very difficult when crossing over at Lewiston. I hardly ever use that POE. I always use the Whirlpool bridge because there is never a wait there.

I know this is a little offtopic. But for those who have a nexus card and are traveling within the us without GC. Did you guys continue to use your nexus/global entry card for the precheck? or should i wait until i have my GC, get it updated then use it?

Since I normally travel with my husband, I don't tend to use pre-check since he doesn't have it.

However, you can continue to used your NEXUS card for pre-check until you have the green card.  Once you have it you should update it.  It can be a PITA to update.
