My fiancé and I would like to have our wedding ceremony in the Philippines as well as one in the United States so that family and friends from both side will be able to attend and witness. Is it possible to do this without any legal hindrance at all, or is there some legal work to be filed for this particular purpose. I welcome all opinions and will appreciate any help. Thank You and Good Luck.

You can get married in the US first after the K1 visa is issued, then return to the Philippines to have a second ceremony for her family.

If you have the ceremony in the Philippines first you are at a risk of being denied a K1.

You can do a search on VJ where people have actually been denied their K1 visa denied because they held a ceremony in the beneficiary's country before they were issued a K1 visa. Even if they didn't register the marriage they were still denied. Explain this to you the family of your fiance so they can understand that they will have to wait until after she returns from the states to have a ceremony for them.

Don't risk it.

I agree that since you are filing a K-1, you MUST marry first in the US in accordance with the fiance visa, THEN you can travel to his/her country for a ceremony..  But remember that your (then) spouse can NOT leave the US until he/she has an APPROVED Advance Parole document.......approximately 4 months after filing Adjustment of Status.

Your other option is to travel to your fiance's country, marry, and file for CR-1.   Of course your fiance can not enter the US and remain until the CR1 visa is in hand. But upon entering the US, he/she will almost immediately receive a Green Card, and will be able to work and/or travel outside the US.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

If you marry in the Phillipines before coming to the US,  you will need the spouse visa CR1

In  the US many renew their vows, for instance, to celebrate their anniversary

no divorce in between is needed /  i have friends that have married and remarried several times
