Ever why would an alleged atheist say such a thing?

Don’t think voting preferences are covered under the constitution like religion and arms and freedoms of speech, are they?

what?

again, what? this new department is not the constitution.

It’s ok.  Understandable why you might become a convert under the current administration.  Now I know what to get you for Xmas.  One of them nice bibles from a hotel drawer.

She had it happen again during a colonoscopy. Remembers waking and looking at the screen and thinking ''cool, I'm going to watch a movie now''

good thing she didn't say it was a rerun.

Ah yes but that's exactly what certain groups and demographics would like to see. The right of a doctor to refuse to deliver to anyone but married women and not lose their job or affect their ability to work at the hospital. It starts with small little things, like the premise in this article, and will continue..

A doctor does have that right now, it just can't be exercised often because of employment agreements.

If entire hospitals start making those decisions though, then you really are alienating populations without a reasonable alternative. That is unethical and would violate principles of care.

ummm, yes.

premise being, if a healthcare worker claims a patient's lifestyle choices, religious views, or voting preference offends their own lifestyle choices, religious views, or voting preference trump's new division of conscience and religious freedom department will be there to protect you. don't you know trump is god's own chosen candidate?

it's all relative on the proverbial slippery slope

how would anyone know that unless they discuss politics?

The Arkansas Police Judge called the next case.  "What's the charge against this here feller?" he asked the policeman.

"The charge is Bigotry, yer honor," said the cop.  "He's got three wives."

"THREE WIVES?!" thundered the judge.  "Why, you moron, that ain't Bigotry -- that's Trigonometry!"

Our "right to bear arms" does not automatically  protect us from discrimination for bearing said arms. Same with religion and speech.

Those early amendments only say that the GOVERNMENT will not infringe on those rights.

The Constitution doesn't protect you from discrimination if you choose to own a firearm. If the Constitution was the only document we were discussing I could choose to not treat you because you own a gun. It doesn't somehow protect you.
