Hi,

I came to the USA as a student and had my status adjusted after marriage to a US citizen. I was married for 4 years and got divorced. Now, I want to apply for my parents visitor visa, because I am having a surgery. Do you think , my parents chances of getting approved is effected because I had an status adjustment through marriage? I applied for my mom and brothers visitor visa for my graduation but got denied. Although, I think thats because of my brother. Is it better to apply , just for my mom instead of both of my parents? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Your status has very little or has nothing to do w/ your parents getting a tourist visa. Your parents have to show strong ties to their home country (ex: owning a home or business,  financial ties, employment ties).

Best of luck! :)

They apply not you.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
