Is it just me? Everytime I look at the USCIS estimates I think of Star Trek.

Something like:

Kirk: Scotty....how long will it take you to reconfigure the blah blah blah...

Scotty: Well it's never been done before captain...theoretically it's possible but it will take at least a week.

Kirk: You've got 5 minutes.

Scotty: Aye! I'll do my best Captain!

These guys really know how to pad their times. I can understand they don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but their estimates are pretty useless even by their own definitions. My hat is off to the Masters of Lowered Expectations!

Do you know how they are calculated? If you did then you would never look at them

Yes! It's pretty ridiculous! I'd laugh, but I'm stuck at the CSC and at their mercy, so it's not funny!

I'm The Next Generation, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine fans.

You forgot " and a bag of chips ". ;)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
