There are a lot of reasons it could be.

Your English isn't strong (I'm not saying that to be mean, but your English isn't very good) - they could wonder how you talk to each other.

They could think it's a concern you got married the first time. And without a big wedding.

Maybe you didn't show you had a bonafide relationship - do you share bank accounts, insurance, etc? Did your wife file taxes as married?

Do you use social media a lot? Do you have a lot of American friends?

What questions did they ask you in your interview?

Until you get the NOIR all we can do is offer suggestions - you will just have to wait until you get it.

Morocco does not have a wedding ceremony at all

you marry at court of clerk and sign a paper / then you are married

withing the next week you can have a clelbration of the marriage / can be 1 day or several days / i did 1 day with 3 beautiful gowns / my gf did 7 days of eating and dancing and multiple gowns

we had small group of family and special friends / my Morroccan aunt just married there and had no celebration as she deems it a waste of money

now for the NOIR seems declarying marriage too early in relationship and marrying on 1st visit is biggest obstical

you can respond to the NOIR or reapply CR1 and respond to the issues with that with a new application and go to a new interview better equiped in your responses to the CO

u must know every little and big thing about your wife, her family,  her (and your life) in the US

u must have plans for the futrue like will you study in the US,  or work

will you need to learn to drive, own a car

will you have or can she have children

we fought a 6 year battle to get our visa

casa is not easy and they take the application,,  the interview and the visa very serious

and yes,  she should do the W7 form with her 2017 tax returns (NOW) and add you to her tax returns

in Casa you have to show combined assests (unlike other countries)

she needs to add you to taxes with a ITIN , after getting that, take the number to the bank and add you to bank accout / u will not get a debit card as you are not inthe US but it will show combined assests

good luck

So when you get your NOIR let us know what it says. I can't imagine that not having a proper wedding is the only reason they returned your petition.

I can't either.  You aren't dealing with red flags now.  You are dealing with a visa denial for a reason or reasons.  What did the letter say, when they told you they were sending the case back?

Saying "off cores" (correct spelling is of course) is actually offensive when answering questions.  It is what people say when the person asking should already know the answer.  Please drop that and just answer the questions as completely and accurately as you can.  If you answered questions that way during the interview, don't do it again.

Affidavits from parents is not your problem.  Your wife lived with your family for three months.

The one red flag you are dealing with now is right here on VJ.  Why is your wife not here participating in this discussion?

Hello,

It took over one year before receiving our Notice of Intent to Revoke. I believe it would have taken longer if I did not reach out to my US senator office. The notice will tell you what it is they are looking for.  The burden of proof is on the Petitioner. I submitted my reply but still received revocation. I  have just filed an appeal and so we wait. Just  make sure you provide the evidence.

So, I just received your PM, but I’m replying here so others can see and hopefully will help someone in the future...

Your reply indicated that your wife did NOT send evidence of your relationship, and only the marriage certificate.... I had a feeling that was the case. When it comes to more difficult embassies, such as Casablanca, it is very important to “front-load” the petition. In other words, send in a lot of evidence that you have a relationship, because anyone can sign a marriage contract, and many before you have abused the system. (In other “western” countries, the amount of evidence needed is not as large as a higher fraud country).

For the NOIR, she will have to submit evidence, such as, passport stamps (proving she was there with you), pictures with family, communication logs, documents showing she added you to her insurance policies, etc.

some of of these things are considered secondary evidence, as I’m sure someone will come along and point out, but you need to prove you and your wife have a relationship.

PS.... I’m not a sir, but thank you for being polite.

Best of luck.

Do you have any other red flags besides not having a wedding party? I see you say the age difference is 2 years. Is she Muslim? Did you give her any dfou3 la3roussa or mahr? Do you both share a common languages besides English like French or Arabic? Has she ever been married before, has a child/children? Has she ever sent you money?

All of those small things are small alone, but then add in the strange fact that you decided not to have a big wedding, it could have caused it. I do not know any Moroccan-Moroccan couples who would skip such an important thing.....the interviewing officers know this as well, it is such a very important thing in our culture.

Hi. Does his wife have to add him to taxes? I was told that if your husband is in an other country you don't have to add to income taxes. I was told this by the Irs? Did you do that? I'm just asking because even h&r block told me I couldn't:(

Thanks

1. Your wife knows your English is poor, why is she not writing here?

2. Please clarify again how many times she visited.  Who paid for these trips?

3. Did you submit chats and photos from all these trips?

4. You also need to submit chats from her meeting your relatives so it's clear it's not a secret marriage

5. Is she Muslim?  Is she from your culture background?

6. How did you first meet?

7. Did you file papers in 2012/2013?

If you don't add the spouse, you're supposed to amend the return and do so as soon as you're able. I did this and was told to do it, and that was 3 years ago, no problems
