Name Change before interview

Hi All,

Having a bit of an "Oh #######" moment. I've found a few articles but hoping someone can confirm.

My wife and I were lucky enough to get an expedite granted but she planned on updating her passport to her married name during the NVC process.  Now, she has her passport in her maiden name but wants to change it prior to the interview.

If we fast track an updated passport and an updated police certificate (to cover the married name)... would that fly at the interview or would it raise a red flag/cause us to be denied?

Thank you so much

In London, they won't bat an eye at a new passport. Her marriage license shows she is legally "Mary Married Name" and her birth certificate shows she is legally "Mary Maiden name". I don't see a need for a new police certificate. The bigger question is what last name did she put on the DS-260 because that is the name they will put on the visa and greencard. Her visa name needs to match the passport it will go in.

We did put her married name under other surnames used.  What about her doctors medical summary and all. Does that matter if it's not in her married name.
