(I-751) Couple of questions regarding blank spaces making me paranoid

Hi folks,

 

Filling out the I-751 form and noticed that the instructions are a bit different compared to the I-129F filled out a couple of years ago.

 

It now states that there must be no blank spaces.  Had a couple of specific questions.

 

1)  Does it literally mean that there can be no blank spaces on the form at all?  I understand that typically each Parts main/first question must have an N/A or 'None'.

 

But does that mean I have to fill in 'N/A' or none in all corresponding questions in the respective section?  (i.e.:  Child 1 Family Name: 'N/A'.  Given Name: 'N/A'.  Middle Name: 'N/A'.  Date of Birth: 'N/A'.  Street Number and Name: 'N/A'.  City or Town: 'N/A', etc.

 

Seems like it would be a complete mess with 'N/A's all over the place.

 

2)  In Part 11. Additional Information, even if I don't have any additional information to provide, do I still have to enter my Family Name and Given Name?  Or can I just write 'N/A' under my Family Name.

 

Thanks!  This is giving me paranoia flashbacks to the I-129F days.

if they havent sent you back the form so thats mean that maybe it's fine, i dont remember if I put n/a of all question, but I will check when I get home. I sent mine almost a year ago still waiting for any respond.

It should be fine if they haven't sent it back, especially if you've put N/A in the initial blank for each section that didn't apply to you.

Yeah, the I-751 form just changed in Dec, 2017, and the instructions DO SAY don't leave any fields blank, as mentioned above.

(Not sure what I-129 says or said, we did I-130 via DCF, which was processed locally, and quickly.)

 

Leaving inapplicable fields blank makes the most sense, clearly. But, our federal govt does not always do what makes sense, clearly.

Even the people who made the PDF form-fillable itself did not enable the "/" character, so if one wants to put "N/A" then one has to do so manually after the form is printed. In 2018!

 

We can do like many other people - Predict, presume, and hypothesize ....about what is cool.

 

But, if anyone has actually had their I-751 approved with the blanks (my preferred method), using a fairly recent form, we would love to hear from you.

 

We will file our Form I-751 ROC next month.

I would like all of these forms online. Auditable/secure. I90 for replacement of 10 year green card is entirely online.

What if my wife has no middle name, do we leave it blank, n/a, or None?
