Hi Everyone,

Currently we are waiting for our case number, it is already over 6 weeks since we get our NOA2. We are expecting to receive our case number this week. What we can do after we receive our case number? Can we schedule for the interview and do the medical even before the CEAC status change to ready? Currently right now, we already fill up DS160 (Only fill it up without submitting it yet), fill up affidavit of support and all other documents needed for the interview. We saw on the website today, the earliest appointment available is on March 6. We afraid that by the time CEAC status change to ready, the earliest appointment available will be end of March or early of April.

Appreciate any reply from all of you!

Thank you! :)

I did my medical right after I got my NVC number bcs it was needed for filling the medical record.  Did tests and medical appointment same day. For gonorrhea test result you are waiting around 5-9 days. My panel physician had the result mailed after the medicals to him from the lab. Then he mailed complete results to the embassy.

When I had my medical appointment date I  have booked interview date already (physician said over the phone it needed to be 2 weeks after medicals or later). I decided to do all of this without case being reviewed by the embassy bcs im short on time and I didn’t think they would have any issues with my application. Got mail from embassy later on with the instructions for things I already did ;)

Usually ppl wait for the embassy letter, also each country medicals and procedures might look different. I’m just describing my personal experience here. Maybe it will be helpful.

If if I were you I would contact panel physician for the terms and if there is no problem I would book that March date for the interview. It’s more then 2 months! Way then enough time to clear all the steps needed. If something unexpected happens you can always try to reschedule.
