I have not updated my marital status & wife's name in my passport. For NVC CR1 process i need to submit PCC from  PSK RPO India.

While filling   PCC Application Form online, how shall I proceed:

1.Shall i mention marital status as Single & proceed to get PCC.

Or

2.Shall  I fill marital status as Married -  will the PSK issue PCC without asking me to update Passport with spouse name(reissue of passport  is not possible as my CR1 application  is already in progress)

Thanks for your update, it helped.I too took the risk & proceeded in same way by mentioning spouse name in online PCC application. No one at PSK asked/ cared about why spouse name name not updated in passport. However as my current passport was issued based on the earlier passport Police verification report, PSK have initiated Police verification & told they will issue/grant  PCC once clear police verification report is received.

He should write as married I suppose that's what I did when my passport was not updated with my spouse name and in the end the PCC doesn't mention anything about the passport details just the passport number and they take the original at the embassy while the interview and they didn't even ask the second copy as they give two copies usually.

My port of entry was Abu Dhabi and they didn't asked for my PCC.

PCC only consist of information regarding that you don't have any restrictions to leave your home country.

Prepare for the interview in well advance with all the proofs kindly visit your husband more than once while the process keep the itenary copies also photos of places you both visited with dates the consulate officer asks for proofs.

I missed my photos so he put my application in administrative process that delayed my process by 2 months hope that helps

Good luck

There is no validity period specified by the issuing Regional Passport Office, however, the acceptable validity period of the PCC by the State Dept. is one year from the date of issuance. If only you'd do research a bit yourself!: https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Supplemental/BMB - Bombay.pdf
