Corrupt is the  modifying fake News and assassinates with Fake News. Genuis   was used to describe Trump and was used to associate with Trump

The difference is so easy

I have already explained in great detail negative word associations work the same way as positive ones. Not sure how else to explain it

Oh ok.  I though your earlier post implied there was a difference.

Nope I was saying corrupt was to sell a negative on Fake News and Genius was used to sell a positive on trump. However negative word associations, and their are many used against Trump have the reverse effect.

The article title is nonsense...that almost goes without saying.

The idea it writes about isn't bad. Over time associations can lose their specific context. While maybe in this one case it works out well for Trump, on the whole I'd say he is in the red when it comes to negative vs. positive "associations".

The dead horse here is trying to argue that Trump has an overall greater positive association. Sure maybe this genius one will work out for him, but it's an uphill battle though.

who said Trump had an overall positive association. Nothing in this thread ?  No one thinks that or has said it. Nonsense

I'm glad we are in agreement that his overall association is negative.

I felt the writer of the article was intentionally ignoring those associations to help their point. The thread is to discuss the article originally posted, so I figured I would make it clear that their psychoanalysis has an overall negative impact on Trump, not a positive one like the article wants to highlight.

Glad you agree though. We're good then.

I ask again - Did you actually read the article you posted?

That was the subject of the entire article. The author was talking about how people's minds would subconsciously remove the "details" and ultimately just connect Trump with "genius", which would be a positive association. The author is talking about taking advantage of psychology to improve your reputation (either Trump making people associate his name with genius, or a technician associating themselves with expert). That is psychoanalysis (theories/studies on the unconscious mind), applied to society at large.

  Can't argue with that

Well you see Corrupt is actually a form of Fake News. Think of it as Fake News' "Assassin Form".

Then Corrupt, along with Fake News (Now they are two entities again) go around an assassinate people (Things? Ideas? Not sure).

It's perfectly clear. :)

which is pretty much what the article said.  You just stating the obvious

The article says that eventually people are going to accept Trump is a genius through word association and repetition. A) people are not that stupid, and B) for any that are, any positive association between Trump and the word genius is destroyed because Trump keeps opening his mouth/twitter feed and proving that association wrong.

He always says he doesn't/can't read articles posted by others here because of being on his cell phone, which begs the question.... how does he read the links he posts?

(I kid you NB. (F) But seriously man.... I can't tell if you agree with the article, disagree with the article, know what the article even says, or simply posted it just because.)

Any words he attempts to associate himself with, does not make the entire planet sold on his feelings about himself (feelings which he admits change day by day). Nor, more importantly does it make them true. He is a con man that was trained by other con men, including those in churches that specialized in such behavior.  Using psychology is a tactic con men utilize to prey upon their chosen targets.

I think (NB can weigh here if he likes) that he often posts articles based on the articles' title, without a thorough reading. Just an observation.

I agree with the article for the most part, except when it comes to the overall conclusion of the question of "Well what does this mean?". I don't think this is going to suddenly make everyone think "Trump, oh ya he is that genius guy". Yes I agree that over time context fades away, but in order for that to effectively label Trump a genius, you would have to ignore all of the other countless associations that build up about the man. We are talking about one tweet (and the subsequent media storm) using the word "genius". There have been hundreds of days now talking about and pointing out Trump's lies. He is FAR more associated with being a liar than he is a genius.
