Seems like they can't communicate with the embassy personnel because the interpreter hired by the embassy isn't very good at their job according to Michael.

So CO will ask them 5 different things but the interpreter only translates 2 of them or leaves out details.

No way to properly communicate with the CO.

Not sure why the questions and answers can't be all done in writing.

Plenty of people there who can translate written Tagalog/Visaya and English without any problem.

Michael, was 221g given? Was passport kept or returned? Are you sure visa was refused?

Your correct. My wife is filipino and I am American. It was very frustrated communicate with them. Yes, write down can do. However, not everything written same what normal hearing people heard. They might quickly ask for a tip. Often time they have no patience to write down and hardly give us a tip in written. Yes, I had watch the CO speaking many words and notice the interpreter sign very few words.

I did contact my American for ADA (Deaf Rights) but the big problem is that our application for my wife were at USA embassy in Philippine.

I have seen everywhere outside of that embassy zone dose provide low quality communicate access. Some deaf filipino sometimes are able to fight for their stand but to embassy we fear!

I have told them that interpreter is not quailify but we’re told to “shut up and respect” because that lousy interpreter were hired by embassy. I stand back myself with a thought “is that how embassy hire those monkey workers? And not able to know their quality during their interview?”

Image yourself in different country. You not know their language. They provide you lousy interpreter with no but. That would be too bad and good luck with your case. Image that you have no communicate access and so easy to deny your case!

So you wife's passport was returned to her after the interview?   And you status on CEAC reads what?
