How would this article go over if it was meant not in jest but in facts ?

No demographic group should be called thugs and no person a 'lesser' human being based on their status and birth place.
Parroting Trump will not do this country any good and empathy and solutions should replace this nonsense of Trump's negative attention seeking.
Not only is he dividing this country but stirring up all our allies against us.

 

Except the majority of people in the room said he did not say it and Durbin has a history of making things up to attack others. Obama's white house even had to call him our for it.

No one is judging the people of the S***hole countries.  It’s just plain bad luck that they are from there, and that conditions are so bad.  

 

People call our country bad things all the time.  Does it really matter?  It’s either thru their own ignorance of conditions here, or perhaps they had a bad experience that tainted their perceptions.  But does it hurt you or I when someone talks badly about the US?  No.  Words.  Even if they are accurate, those words don’t really harm us at all.

 

It’s a shame that you find the description of a few places so offensive (it’s about the location, not the people).  I would link you to a video about a person from Nigeria talking about how right Trump is, because he believes his country IS a SH, and that’s why he left it.  He’s going back, trying to make it better, but he still calls it what it is.

One of my favorite songs is why we thugs by ice cube , a self described thug. In fact it's one of my ringtones along with Dear Mama by Tupac, which is my current main ring tone. Tupac also a self described Thug. Many Black artist have made millions from glamarzing and promoting Thug culture. Biggie, Ice Cube Easy E. 

I guarantee you that term is used more in the black community than white.

Of course I understand the term thug and since it is reserved for a criminal element as you said then red necks can be called thugs as well as anyone else
