   In the absence of direct proof, human nature would be to ask if this sounds like something Trump would say. Do we have any previous examples of him using words or behavior like this and then we decide. Either we give him the benefit of the doubt or we don't. I don't and many people would not. Trump has made many crass and divisive statements like this in the past.

 

   Bonus question - how many therapist jobs would have been added to the economy if Obama had said something obnoxious like this?

I know the left operates on unverified anonymous sources and wishful thinking but I operate on facts and evidence so I would have to say if there is no evidence it didn't happen.

     Right now it's Trumps word vs one senator. Trump's lack of credibility is no ones fault but his own. I suspect if Trump admit's this,  you will switch to a new defense. I have not once seen you call out his behavior.

Here is my guess, folks want Immigration reform to move forward and are willing to put up with the Presidents behavior to get something done.   

 

Ipersonally feel that reform is going to happen, it will Include Democratic input.
