Do you treat people online the same as in real life?

I am the same as I am online. When I meet people online or in person, I always go the extra mile to be respectful. Simply because I don't know the other person well and because we all come from different backgrounds with different experiences, and most importantly, different opinions, I try not to offend anyone.

I am glad someone posted this, because when I first joined and posted on VJ, some comments I received were very rude. No, ridiculously rude. And I strongly had to convince myself that this is ONLINE NOT IN PERSON, because I wanted to kick some a**. (Yes, while I'm pregnant.)

I have noticed two people in particular who post their smart mouth comments on every one else's page. Although they have experience, they take pleasure in making people feel stupid. I strongly believe these individuals, as others, would not address someone the way they do online. All I can say is keep it real. Don't use the internet as "protection" from an a** whoopin', seriously. It's not funny. And it makes people like me cross my fingers and pray that your personal information come up on my computer somewhere, because I will hill-billy my pregnant a** to your place of residence and slap you to sleep. Obviously, I have no tolerance for people who are rude to others.

(If anyone finds something offending in this reply, then please send me a PM, thank you.)

I feel you here sister, because if I could see some MENA women face to face, I would hit them dead in the m%&%^&$F^*%^*mouth!!!! Then kick them dead in their ugly azz faces.

Reading whatever is considered rude or inconsiderate, on here, ain't nothing. It's nothing but just text and characters. No reason to ever get bent about it. But, I would love to see someone who really enjoys talking ####### on here, do it to someone actually being face-to-face! Having an anonymous face on the internet, they can personify being Superman or Wonder Woman or whatever superhero they think they are. There's a quite few on here, I know I would not be the only one who would knock them on their sissy butts if they spoke to me they way how they instigate ####### or engage people here! Talk is talk. Action is what I'm talking about! ;)

Here here!!!!

Consider this a warning to stop attacks like this please. Thank you.

Unfriggingbelievable that this kind of death threat gets only a warning and the thread isn't even closed.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.
Unfriggingbelievable that this kind of death threat gets only a warning and the thread isn't even closed.

death threat...your imagination gets carried away quite often
Good!! I am glad. But I think people taht bully and pick on people behind a computer screen is kind of scary I'm the right woman to f&^* with. I wish it was in person..
You are glad you are scary? Doesn't that make you as bad as the "bullies that pick on others from behind a computer screen"?

I do not pick on people from behind a computer screen. I do not wait to pounce on people. I made a statement that I wish some of these people I could meet face to face. Question though, did other people before me make the same statement I did??? You only direct your question towards me, scary!!!

Me directing a question to you is scary? For someone threatening to kick azz when they meet someone else face to face-you seem easily scared..
Anyway, I only direct my question to you, because your comment was the one here in this thread that was threatening to kick azz upon meeting face-to-face...That's all I meant...No need to be scared. I don't threaten people on screen or off...So no need to be scared of questions, is there?

Yes, I was very scared of your question. I wonder when I said that I felt threatened, intimidated, or afraid of you directing a question to me. No one on VJ scares me. A bunch of online bullies that need their azzes kicked. There I said it again.

Look, surely you must have expected a reaction to what you wrote, no? Clearly this seems to be rooted in the MENA forum, maybe? But knowing nothing of the prior history [if any]-it really just looked like you were cursing and kicking up a stink and threatening to kick azzes......Thus provoking my response.

Anyway, dinner is ready.....TTFN

definitely mena forum...for sure

and i agree with you sister lisa, the sanctions of a warning in a situation where threat of violence is clear, is a violation of TOS...and more is needed

You should be banned for this. And it's shocking you haven't been.

After re-reading this I agree and I have taken the actions needed regarding the member and post in question. Sorry about the delay. I should have understood the situation earlier.

OK I feel I can no longer hold my tongue. I am seeing it more and more

on

VJ and it's really getting to me.

I know this will not go down well with certain people, and they will no

doubt think what i am about to say is wrong.

People, like myself, come onto this website to get advice through what

is a

very very long and difficult process. A lot of the time, people are

very

unfriendly and rude. Many times I have been upset from replies I have

got

when I have asked questions, and I know i am not the only person that

thinks

this.

Granted people are careless, lazy, asking what some think of as stupid

questions, but none of us know the reason why these things happen...

nor is

it any of our business... people simply ask what they should do.

It is clear a lot of people feel "put out" by replying to certain

posts, if

this is the case.... dont reply... leave it to the wonderful people who

want

to help and have patience! It's almost like some people can't wait to

reply

to a post and nitpick over what has been asked. In my opinion, these

people

are ruining VJ. I've noticed one in particular is a VJ "organiser".

What

kind of message does it give out when someone who is in a position of

responsibility on the site is shooting down peoples questions?

This site has been my life line through getting my K1 and fingers

crossed

soon my green card. I have met a very dear friend to me now and

without her

I would be lost... so I dont want people to think I am not happy with

the

whole site.... Visa Journey is an AMAZING thing... for help and advice

and a

shoulder to cry on.

We are all in the same boat... some still there and some on to the next

chapter... so we all need to stand together!!

As my mum used to say to me..... If you can't say anything nice....

don't

say anything at all!!!
