OK I feel I can no longer hold my tongue. I am seeing it more and more

on

VJ and it's really getting to me.

I know this will not go down well with certain people, and they will no

doubt think what i am about to say is wrong.

People, like myself, come onto this website to get advice through what

is a

very very long and difficult process. A lot of the time, people are

very

unfriendly and rude. Many times I have been upset from replies I have

got

when I have asked questions, and I know i am not the only person that

thinks

this.

Granted people are careless, lazy, asking what some think of as stupid

questions, but none of us know the reason why these things happen...

nor is

it any of our business... people simply ask what they should do.

It is clear a lot of people feel "put out" by replying to certain

posts, if

this is the case.... dont reply... leave it to the wonderful people who

want

to help and have patience! It's almost like some people can't wait to

reply

to a post and nitpick over what has been asked. In my opinion, these

people

are ruining VJ. I've noticed one in particular is a VJ "organiser".

What

kind of message does it give out when someone who is in a position of

responsibility on the site is shooting down peoples questions?

This site has been my life line through getting my K1 and fingers

crossed

soon my green card. I have met a very dear friend to me now and

without her

I would be lost... so I dont want people to think I am not happy with

the

whole site.... Visa Journey is an AMAZING thing... for help and advice

and a

shoulder to cry on.

We are all in the same boat... some still there and some on to the next

chapter... so we all need to stand together!!

As my mum used to say to me..... If you can't say anything nice....

don't

say anything at all!!!

AMEN!!! I see it all the time and it seems so childish to sit back and wait to tear people to shreads for asking a question that "bothers" you. If you are tired of answering "stupid" questions then don't answer and keep moving. I skip over a lot of posts that I feel I shouldn't put my two cents in for whatever reason. When people nitpick and make rude comments, it runs off new and innocent people who came looking for support.

Also, I act the same online as I do offline. I am pretty outgoing and easy to get along with and I love laughing. I treat everyone the way I would offline and don't try to hide behind a false identity.

Kat, I agree  I didn't always agree....until I read this from my dear friend Tmma....*I hope she doesn't mind me posting this from another thread*

It really bothers me when someone VOLUNTEERS themselves to do something, then promptly complains about doing it later.

I see that alot on here...People WILLINGLY sitting on forums and immediatly answering questions ( which is great)-then afterwards complaining about it; and feeling entitled to be snippy and abrasive especially to newer members ( who in time will keep the site alive).

No one is forced to answer questions here; although it IS much appreciated, lets get real....Answering people's questions is a CHOICE and if it is becoming a source of irritation to you or is bringing about snippy feelings, then don't!

Don't volunteer yourself, then complain afterwards!

Kat....don't confuse 'organiser' with 'moderator'....I don't think ppl who are organisers should have it under their name, it gives the wrong impression to newcomers...IMO :D

i'm pretty much the same....but i may speak my mind more in person because those are usually people that are in my life. i'm usually always nice. online i don't care to partake in most of the arguments because i find it pointless to call someone names on a messageboard. why make my chest hurt and have anger over some faceless person? lol
