Hi everyone, I've been having trouble finding information about old cases, mine is from 13 years ago, I have nothing.

and I want to know if this old case will hurt my K-1 visa application.

I was illegally living on USA as a minor, my US citizen father cross me and my family. I was a minor we applied for my residency and immigration I went to school there.

long story short, we came back to mexico when I was 19 years old, and my application was rejected, he applied for a "forgive" or something and never got an answer back and he just stoped.

I dont know where to look.

Hi,

You can request for your immigration records for free through FOIA (Freedom of Information Act). It's what I did before I can apply for AOS, because I lost my original I-94 w/ an original stamp showing my legal entry/exit and it shows on my immigration records my original entry date, when was my visa approved, etc. It took them at least 3 months to release my records. So if you want to get this ball rolling start with FOIA.

Here are a couple of links that hopefully can help you:

Good luck! :)

Just like what @shakeyy said. Look into that. But from my understanding you wanted to know what happened to your old case, right? If so, your best bet is FOIA.

yes I wanted to now what was send, what was said, just so if they asked me about it I know what to answer. But what I really like to know is if this case will hurt my new case. to get that k-1 visa.

I feel confident with my information and all the evidence and stuff for my k-1 visa, i mean we have a daugther now, but this with my dad is making doubt.

sorry guys I feel really lost.

It's kind of hard to know what's going to hurt your current K-1visa case or not, if you don't know exactly what's in your immigration records or what happened to your old case. But there are a lot of knowledgeable people here in VJ. I'm sure there a lot of them here that can give you more specific information or can guide you to the right direction regarding this whole process.

Best of luck! :)

agreed.  What if you were eligible for the USC after all. I'm not too familiar with US but Canada laws about right of citizenship might be the same as US. I've read in the news about acquiring citizenship even after living outside the country for a long time as long as you can show substantial proof and is qualified.  I'd speak with an immigration lawyer familiar with this. Your case is kind of complicated.
