I realize that part of my issue with my Italian friend here may be a language impediment. If that is the issue, I extend my apologies. I must return to work now, so have at it, y'all!

No Chinese

No Italians

Listen, I agree that Haiti is a ****hole country (like there are many others. Also some parts of my own country I'd define ****holes as well). Does that make me a racist?

Would you disagree if I used a PG-13 term (which doesn't change the facts)?

lets back up. trump didn't just say haiti. there were other majority brown countries that he stated he doesn't want coming here & he wanted to know why not more folks from norway majority white country.

that's what makes his statements offensive and racist - nothing else. i will curse circles around you or anyone else any day of the week - i love cursing and consider it a fine art, i practice whenever i can.

so you can call haiti whatever you like but i do know that i posted an opinion piece from someone who is very familiar with haiti and doesn't have such a terrible view of haiti and you had nothing at all to say.

so, i don't think this is about keeping on pc tip toes.

Ok. And he might be right.

Reality is that we can't have unlimited immigration, so he wants to be more selective and admit immigrants who add more value to the US. It is just immigration policy (like it or not).

There are ****hole countries with white, black, latino, and asian people around the world. I don't think this was about race.

Who is to say that a person from a poor country doesn't have value? .

They had value before, they have it now, and they will continue to have it in the future.

I lived in London in 1993, and from 1995 through 2007. I cannot recall a single incident of "Italian hunting." If I am wrong, I will stand corrected, but my memory and a cursory Google search have turned up nothing.

Never made the news. However, there were several attacks on Italians and Spanish. Almost always a bunch of drunk kids, age 16-21, on weekend nights.

And many London neighborhoods that are considered posh or trendy today were not that fancy in the late 90s...

people called the police to report it. there have been a couple local news articles on it as well. but, the kkk has never gone away - it makes sense that they are actively recruiting now given the current environment. they tried to hold a meeting at a local community center back when i was in highschool in the nineties. a bunch of churches got together and tried to stop them with public outcry. it worked for a while because i haven't seen anything from them myself until this past halloween.

I used to read alot about the American history, I was always fascinated by the question of  how people can do the things they did during segregation. I thought KKK was something that was gone, until I watched a documentary a while ago on Netflix. Its quite sad to see how some people think and how they poison their kids minds.

Add, not have.

And merit-based immigration would go by individual requirements, not country-specific requirements (obviously, some countries would score better than others, but that's just statistics).

The point is that we don't know what Trump said, no one of us was in that room. It is just speculation and Haiti was the main culprit.

I honestly really don't care, my kids are a mix of italian, russian, jewish, latino (this is what I know of) and they came out pretty well. We are too sensitive about race today (and politicians play a crucial role, just to gain a few votes) and that is too bad.

Sounds like ''chavs''. They typically tend to attack anyone when drunk, and still do.

''Individual requirements'' which would inherently exclude anyone that isn't wealthier or extremely well educated. The reason why some countries would score better than others is intentional.

Hi! I've lived in London and Los Angeles, and I've yet to see any "white people hunting" going on in either. Do you have any links to articles on "white people hunting"?

Google Reginald Denny. That is without googling. I am sure I could fill a page .

Why wealthier? Usually wealthy people do not even want a green card (and they are right) for tax reasons. When someone wealthy or from a wealthy family walks into my office I tell him/her not to get a green card. If they really want one, the best way is to get a student visa or a J-1 visa to not have physical presence and have time to do some pre-immigration tax planning.

Well-educated is just fair to me. Think about it, even the DV lottery requires at least a high-school degree.

And the black panthers backed Obama. Does not mean either supports their views.

Yes becuse bringing in people that are educated and will not be a burden to tax payers is a terrible idea, right.
