My roommate in London was brutally beaten by an angry mob, that was several years ago. Not in NW1 as you can imagine.

I also lived in LA and would refuse to step foot in some areas east of the 101.

Listen, I agree that Haiti is a ****hole country (like there are many others. Also some parts of my own country I'd define ****holes as well). Does that make me a racist?

Would you disagree if I used a PG-13 term (which doesn't change the facts)?

Ok. And he might be right.

Reality is that we can't have unlimited immigration, so he wants to be more selective and admit immigrants who add more value to the US. It is just immigration policy (like it or not).

There are ****hole countries with white, black, latino, and asian people around the world. I don't think this was about race.

Man, you missed out on some great Mexican food.

 

My brother also got the **** kicked out of him in London. Bunch of 16 year olds decided to beat up a guy in his mid-40s because my brother told them to "f*** off" when one of them made a comment to his wife. Four kids jumped my brother and kicked him in the head with steel toe boots. He was very lucky to escape with a couple of black eyes and a broken rib -- the doctor said he could have easily suffered from life-altering brain damage. my brother got a good few wallops in, but it was four on one. They were all Pakistani, but it was more a function of them being drunk 16 year olds than anything else. And this was in NW1! 

 

You know what? My brother's not a racist, and he didn't tar all the Pakistanis in London with the thug brush. He made a police report and a couple of them got arrested and convicted. He's happy with the outcome. Sorry for your roommate. Not everyone deals with things the same way, and there aren't roving bands of black and Pakistani people just waiting to jump whitey. It just isn't reality.

people called the police to report it. there have been a couple local news articles on it as well. but, the kkk has never gone away - it makes sense that they are actively recruiting now given the current environment. they tried to hold a meeting at a local community center back when i was in highschool in the nineties. a bunch of churches got together and tried to stop them with public outcry. it worked for a while because i haven't seen anything from them myself until this past halloween.

To my point, invert the parties and put the whiteys as aggressors and the minority as victims. This would make news worldwide.

I lived in London in 1993, and from 1995 through 2007. I cannot recall a single incident of "Italian hunting." If I am wrong, I will stand corrected, but my memory and a cursory Google search have turned up nothing.

I would have understand it if it was based on individuals, I would have agreed. Because off course every country wants talented people. By explicitly naming countries, he is basically saying that this countries don't have any talented people that can add value to America. I don't like to use the racism card ( I agree, racism is everywhere) but when you come to this conclusion (****hole country= no talent=unwanted immigrants) well it's hard to deny that he believes that people from certain countries are uneducated savages.
