Utah allows guns on college campuses

Look at this crime report for 2005 from that link. It shows total crimes and the numbers by concealed carry holders. The system woks great in Texas it seems.

*shrug* Concealed carry permits don't really bother me; I wasn't in favor of them at the time but now that they exist I don't really care because they don't seem to have increased crime any. They don't seem to have decreased it any either; crime in TX was on the way down before the law passed and I don't see that the reduction in crime in the state had anything to do with pot-bellied middle-aged Republican men packing heat.

I think that those statistics are a bit skewed by the fact that the kind of people who bother to apply for a concealed carry permit are not really the kinds of people who have crime on the brain. All the permit holders I knew in Texas were so law and order that they'd try to pull a cop over to tell him about a busted tail light.

Number one: Not Everybody in Utah is Mormon ( Geez! how many times do we have to go over this?! Just like not all southerners are Rednecks!

Number Two: The Universitys & Colleges that do allow concealed weapons are thinking of not allowing them, in the wake of what happened at V Tech.
