Proof of domicile

what requirements do i need to send as a proof of domicile for my child? I lived in the Philippines eversince i was born. However , my citizenship goes by CRBA. I applied for a visa for my child and just recently finished an interview last month. I was told that i was missing a requirement and that is the proof of domicile. Iam working on this diligently so that me and my child could possibly move and permanently stay in the US. What kind of documents do i need to send since i have no accounts or land in the US. I only have SSN. Do i need to write a letter or do i need to go there first and make my child follow. He’s only 2 years old by the way. Thank you.

You can either move their first and establish US domicile, OR you need to show the CO sufficient intent to establish US domicile. Since you never lived in the US, the CO may want to see quite a lot here.

 

Things like job offers / communication with recruiters, showing housing arrangements in the US, opening bank accounts and/or credit cards, researching moving costs / getting quotes, etc. are all good. If you can, obtaining a state ID or driver's license would be good (albeit this generally requires you to have already established residence in the state). Registering to vote is good as well.
